Good morning everyone, I hope this finds you well. We have the Week 4 Preview, this starts the “2nd Quarter” of the Fantasy Season. The Pot Cakes Dynasty League is cooking now, and will be interesting how things shake out as the season goes on. But let’s sip on the game of the week.
Our (unsponsored, yah, still unsponsored) game of the Week.
Daddy Wombat is skipping on over to CrossFit

v.

Macho Man Randy Savage said it best, the cream shall rise to the top. Here we have two juggernauts, undefeated, early season champions. But which cream shall rise to the top. Who is Hazelnut or French Vanilla, or is this a seasonal thing, and one is a Pumpkin Spice or Peppermint Mocha? When will this creamer talk end? We will have to wait until Sunday to see who creams who. Daddy Wombat is hoping their WR continue their (Italian) Sweet (Creme) production, with the likes of Hopkins, Metcalf, and Fuller. And hoping that Jeudy and Claypool put up anything but Vanilla (Caramel) numbers this weekend to be the (Pumpkin) Spice Daddy Wombat needs to push him over the edge. Russ Wilson and Kamara are a guarantee to Toast(ed Marshmellow Mocha) the competition this week. While other teams may Snicker(s) at CrossFit’s RB situation, you would be a (Coco)nut (Creme) to think Dak and Amari have a low scoring week against the Browns. With players as smooth as Butter(scotch Latte) like Ekeler and Cooper Kupp, CrossFit is still the team to beat despite his Original lineup being on the injury list. CrossFit is favored by 7, but I like Daddy Wombat in this Fun(fetti) matchup. Chef’s Kiss.
Mush’s Mongrels head to school to face Teach.

v.

Mush is looking for a QB that is reliable, a nice, young, charming QB, I wonder if anyone has that for a draft pick, mid to late round pick? Anyways, Jacobs needs to score for Mush, and Antonio Gibson is in the roster after Dobbins just barely scored enough points for Mush last week. Clyde Frog is looking to stay hot as well. I cannot tell if Mush is fielding any wide receivers or tight ends this week. Not a good look. Teach love A-aron, and he’s hoping to Mixon it up with the top dogs. Carson is going to be a gametime decision, hopefully Teach checks his roster Sunday and is not on the links. Teach also wants his favorite student Tyreek Hill to continue to show up in the big time games. Teach is favored by 12, I’ll take him this week to knock down an undefeated low scoring Mush.
Bruce is cleaning up our oceans on his way to Trashman.

v.

Bruce has a bad team. This is karma for his draft day actions. The better question is how many years will this curse stay with Bruce? Ahhh, he has Zeke and J.T., Matty Ice is facing some good DBs this weekend so who knows if he will continue to put up 400 yard weeks. Trashman is in need of a bounce back game. Kenny G being healthy would be huge, not sure if that will happen. Chubb and Aaron Jones are unstoppable this year. Cam should throw the ball a lot as he will be down against the Chiefs. Can Mark Andrews catch a ball this week? Is Allen Robinson back? We will find out Sunday when Trashman who is favored by 2, takes down Bruce, just like everyone else.
Batman is taking on Bottom Bunk.

v.

Batman also needs a bounce back game, and this one is served up to him on a silver platter. Lamar plays a bad Washington team, Conner may get some extra rest before he plays, Robert Woods goes up against a bad Giants team, and Noah Fant continues to be the best option for the Broncos. Bottom Bunk beat someone? Oh yeah, Bruce Week 1, yikes. Dalvin Cook, Deshaun Watson, and Adam Thielen all deserve better teams, in real life and fantasy. I am not sure who B.B. puts in his lineup as two of his guys are out. Right now Batman is favored, but he likes the underdog role and will likely be a favorite no matter who B.B. subs in, but I’ll take B.B. to give Batman some motivation.
Touchdown Guy takes on Pistol.

v.

A great young QB faceoff with TDG having Tall Josh and Pistol having Murray. TDG has Melvin Gordon and Pistol is looking to keep David Montgomery. TDG has Julio, Keenan Allen, and Ridley to go against Pistol’s OBJ, Slayton, and Lazard. Sneaky plays for TDG is Frank Gore and Hayden Hurst. Pistol has Mike Davis and maybe Russell Gage is back this week. This matchup has a good mixed bag of star power and potential upside. One thing that may stick out in this matchup is TDG is not afraid to pull the trigger, he wanted a trade he did it. He didn’t go around flaunting a trade getting something similar to what he wanted, and then back out without a counter. TDG spoke it into existence. That confidence that’s a manager I want to play for and that’s a manager that is in consideration for Manager of the Year. Pistol, he’s putting his safety on and off, but he doesn’t pull the trigger. Right now Pistol is the favorite by 4, but TDG is just too cool, and cool is the rule. Give me TDG (so I can pass Pistol in rankings).
JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons dance over to PeePaw.

v.

This is a big game. If there were not two undefeated teams going at it this week, this would be the one to watch. JonnyDIII finally faces a team with a losing record. The Joyful Demons look to tear it up with Pat, Diggs, Evans, and Drake. Can JD3 get back on track with the TE position with Dalton Schultz in relief of Blake Jarwin? Anything more than 5 points will be a season high for the position. Isabella is in a revenge game as he was cut by PeePaw, I expect big things. PeePaw needs Singletary to continue to have success. Can the Dolphins stay in the game long enough to get Gaskins his touches? Will rookies, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Brandon Aiyuk put up decent numbers? Can Derrick Henry get some goal line carries? These two teams need some answers. I think the points scored should tell you who’s going to win this one. JD3 is favored by 3.
Now we have some picks.

Some words from Dr. Tilt.
Dr. Tilt’s Week 4 Prescription
Baltimore Ravens -13 @ Washington Football Team
Vegas is here folks; we’ve got multiple double-digit lines this week on the board. They have 3 weeks of evidence and now things get tougher. 13-point road favorite? Seems risky? Well it is risky, but it makes sense, so hear the doc out. Would you say the Texans are better than the Washington Football Team? Well Ravens beat Houston by 17 on the road. We know the Browns are better than Washington, they just beat them by 2 scores last week. The Ravens beat the Browns by 32. That’s deductive reasoning, right? Don’t overthink this due to their ugly game on Monday against the Chiefs. Do you know who looks bad against the Chiefs? Almost everyone. Ugly national television loss leads the doc to believe they hammer Washington to get back on track.
Seahawks -6.5 @ Miami Dolphins
Another road favorite from the doc is being prescribed. This is the third time you’re getting a Seahawks game on the weekly prescription. We’re 2-0 in those picks and quite frankly neither of them created a single drop of perspiration. I don’t think this one will either. If it was -7 it’d make sense to be afraid of the backdoor cover/push but lock it in at -6.5 while you can. The Seahawks have the 2nd highest scoring offense through 3 weeks, the Dolphins boast a T-23rd offense. Seattle’s defense is brutal but not bad enough to allow Ryan Fitzpatrick to keep it close. Expect Seattle to force a few turnovers, Russel Wilson to stay out front in the MVP campaign, and Seattle to win by 10+ on the road.
Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers Over 57.5
If you’re curious, this is the highest game total of the week. Not scared. You’ve heard the Doc talk about Vegas and double-digit lines. This is a similar gambling strategy and one Vegas hasn’t caught up to yet. Show me a 60-point total you cowards and then I might THINK about an under! Overs aren’t just hitting early in the 2020 season; they are being smashed. Here’s a stat for you: 15 games in the first 3 weeks of the NFL season have gone 58 points or higher (an average of 5 per week for those doing math at home). The Packers have been in 3 of those and are first in scoring offense. The Atlanta Falcons have been in 2 (their 3rd game was 56 points) and are 6th in scoring offense. The only concern here is the Falcons roll over and quit on Dan Quinn after back to back embarrassing blown leads. Monday Night Shootout on the way, don’t bet the under.
Last Week: 2-1
Season Record: 8-2
That does it for this week, should be an interesting week. Hopefully, there is only one defeated team and one undefeated team after this week. The trade deadline is slowly approaching, time for some people to make some moves, I, I am open for trades. I will see you Tuesday? Maybe late Tuesday, it all depends on how the Titans v. Steelers game goes down, either way I’ll see you soon. I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
JonnyDIII
