Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 6 Recap

Good morning everyone, I hope this finds you well. We have the Recap, Dr. Tilt’s picks recap, and the power rankings. I know some managers are expecting big changes, but NOT SO FAST.

The Game of the Week. This was a snooze fest, and one manager has to be questioning if the draft day curse will ever end.

Bruce was swept away by PeePaw.

v.

This game had big time ranking implications. Turns out Bruce hates winning. Monday night, Zeke up to bat, and he struck out. Zeke the guy Bruce took right before JonnyDIII after Bruce said he was going Mahomes at 4. Bruce started the wrong QB again and will be chasing points all year, Tannehill put up huge numbers, 43, just not as huge as Matty Ice with 46. JT put up 13 and Tyler Boyd added 10. Jules, Gesicki, and Damien Harris, all had less than 5 points and absolutely crushed Bruce’s chances. PeePaw is back? Roll back the clock, Brandin Cooks and A.J. Brown had themselves a day. But the youth that is Justin Jefferson putting up 35 points, that’s 8 years WR1 potential. Joey Slye the Panthers kicker put up more points than the Panthers starting RB this week, Slye stock is going up. PeePaw beats Bruce 148.2 to 106.2.

Next up we have Mush’s Mongrels taking on CrossFit.

v.

It needs to be mentioned, right after the draft the schedules for some reason adjusted. Mush has the lowest point scored amount, is 5-1, and ranked “first” according to the app. James Robinson had 13 and CEH had 19. What a sneaky play with Deebo Samuel, a cool 15. Not a ton of production, but that Mush. CrossFit just didn’t have any of his sleeper picks go off this week. A switch at QB and CrossFit wins. Amari Cooper got him some late points with 17, but Cooper Kupp let him down with a TD drop that would have won CrossFit the game. AP put up a dozen and so did Cole Beasely. It just turns out that CrossFit’s bad players were worse. Mush sneaks by 102.47 to 100.3.

Daddy Wombat is upset by Bottom Bunk.

v.

Some people are calling this the upset of the year. Some people are calling for a forfeit. A lot of talk around this game. Will Fuller with 21 and Chase Clay “cool is the rule” pool, put up 16. They bye week bug bit Daddy Wombat, Foles didn’t have a great week, Benny Snell, and Gabriel Davis, I mean it’s doable, but Daddy Wombat really did all they could this week. Bottom Bunk, makes a trade for a non-taxi player, and puts that person on the taxi squad. Why is Commissioner Mush allowing that? With moves like this I would put up big numbers too. Watson with 46, George Kittle with 20, Keelan Cole 18, and Fulgham with 16. What a weekend for B.B. everyone (except T.Y.) showed up this weekend and he stays hot. B.B. beats Daddy Wombat 163.59 to 115.9.

Batman charters on over to Teach.

v.

Batman was sick of losing, and he took it out on Teach. Lamar had a good ground day, James Conner, and Miles Sanders played well. The hidden gem is Ronny Jones, 25 points, he’s a great pick. Bob Woods even added a dirty dozen. Batman even left DeAndre Swift on his bench, now there were talks of this being a knock against him for the manager of the year consideration. Well, the media I’m connected to thinks the pick is more important than the play, this does not go against him. If it happens again, well I’ll have to reach out to my sources. Teach, well this one was ugly. Under 100 points. That’s a failing grades even with today’s grading scale. Rodgers 7, Ingram 2, Hill 4, and Parker 5. When your leading scorer is rookie Tee Higgins with 15, that’s bad. Teach is not going to like the power rankings, but maybe this is a lesson learned. Batman 124.8, Teach 86.1.

Touchdown Guy takes on Trashman.

v.

In the preview I said Hi to Trashman and heard nothing back. Gloves are off. Touchdown Guy absolutely crushed Trashman. TDG didn’t sort his recycling, that’s Trashman’s job. TDG does what he wants doubling up Trashman. Josh Allen was not as tall as he usually is. Derrick Henry, move of the year? D-Train had 39 points, Julio had 29, Christian Kirk added 21, and Calvin Ridley added a sweet 16. Trashman won the kicker battle, Prater had 11. That’s all Trashman gets this week, he put up back to back under 100 point weeks. TDG 174.7 to 82.15.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons shoot on over to Pistol.

v.

It wouldn’t have mattered, but one manager was locked out of their account and could not adjust their roster. The score below will reflect what should have been the final. JonnyDIII finally got production out of Kenny Drake with 28. N’Keal Harry added a goose egg and might be the worst pick of the draft. This is not an overreaction, I mean it. Tim Patrick (up for trade) added a dozen, Diggs with a baker’s dozen, and Scary Terry was a perfect 10. Mike Evans sheesh. Pistol wanted this one. I know this win meant a lot to him. Kyler Murray put up 35, Kelce had 19, and James White added 10.5. It was just a decent outing by Pistol. Getting the points where he needed them, no big misses on the week. And that’s half the battle, you don’t always have to hit your mark, you just have to shoot your shot. Pistol with a big win, 133.7 to 115.65.

Last Week: 3-1

Season Record: 16-4

Now let’s look at the power rankings.

Rules are rules, you don’t score 100 you are at the bottom. Trashman has done it two weeks in a row, that’s a tough look. CrossFit stays at the top, everyone gets one. Mush is only ranked in the top 3 based on record alone. Mush has had the easiest and luckiest schedule so far this year. I think Pistol and Bottom Bunk are finding their groove. Both teams are putting up decent numbers and got a little streak going. Bruce, I mean if he can’t beat team 11 he’s going to have to wait until Week 13.

That’s does it for Week 6, I will see you tomorrow for the Week 7 Preview. I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
