Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 3 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 3 Recap. We take a look at the Week 3 matchups and how Dr. Tilt did. We have 2 undefeated teams, and 2 teams without a win. No wins, is not good for the power rankings. A lot of teams bunched up, should be a good week coming up. But we are not there yet, we have to look at the Week 3 stuff. Maybe we even take a look at a Week 3 matchup in a different league. Let’s get to it, the Week 3 Game of the Week.

PeePaw v. Touchdown Guy

v.

There is one person who has suffered a great deal of emotional paid from the scheduling shift just prior to the season. That is PeePaw. A.J. Brown, hammy, 0.3 points. The good news is Sermon had 10, Adams had 25, Jefferson 22, and Aiyuk 14. So PeePaw now has two options in Sermon and Aiyuk going forward. Monty put up 6 and Agholor only had 2. Those hurt. But his point total was not terrible. Mediocre point total, 50/50 win/lose. However, you can’t be mediocre when you facing the top dawg. TDG is this week’s lead dog, and he hit that mark convincingly. Josh Allen is tall and 52 points baby, oh my lord. Henry and Saquon combine for 35. Thielen and Evans almost match (28 combined) Mike Williams 29 points. Melvin and Tim Patrick added 26 total. With the unfortunate loss of K.J. Hamler, this is great news for TDG as Patrick will get more targets, and Melvin will be needed more as well. Kittle also had a good game with 13. TDG went off for 204.4, and beat PeePaw in this revenge game. TDG 204.4 to 139.3.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. CrossFit

v.

This matchup was much more entertaining than the game of the week. JD3 had Mahomes with 34, Allen 15, Cooks 16, Ja’Marr Chase with 20. Logan Thomas added 8. The bad was Diggs only put up 9 seeing TDs go to Emmanuel Sanders, and Mooney had 9 of the Bears 41 total yards, to add 1 point, and McLaurin only gave JD3 8 points. It would all come down to Monday night, as JD3 had a slight lead needing Miles Sanders to fend off both Dak and Amari Cooper. CrossFit had CMC go down with 5 points, Ekeler put up 19, Kupp 26, Beasley 15, and Kelce added 14. Those were the highs, the lows were Robbie Anderson 1.3, and Lockett’s 5.1. With a 14 point lead, Miles put up 7, Dak and Cooper managed 34. It was a late finish, second half Dak threw a couple TDs. Nail meet coffin, CrossFit buried an undefeated team. CrossFit wins 141.1 to 129.

Bottom Bunk v. Daddy Wombat

v.

It is tough to write on bad teams. B.B.’s leading scores are as follows, Mattison with 20, Tucker with 18, and Bridgewater with 16. This is back to back weeks where B.B.’s QB is not a top 2 scorer on his team. For those of you just discovering fantasy football, the QB position should be your leading scorer, OR a different play has a career day and outscores the QB. Somehow, neither of those things are happening for B.B. and his QBs just stink. Edmonds is looking great, 11 points is super solid. Ridley added 10, which is ok, but not great considering what everyone thought Ridley would be. D.W. somehow managed to be just as bad. The RB2 situation is absolutely killing D.W. Damien Williams, RB2 for D.W., 0 points. Kamara added a nice 19, Metcalf the same, and Claypool put up 14. D-Hop was uncharacteristic with 3 points. The other issue for D.W. is needing to rely on some young guys, Rondale Moore and Gabriel Davis combined for almost 7 points. This all came down to Monday Night, D.W. having a 4 point lead, B.B. rolling with Goedert. Goedert got 7 points, and 7 wins, 120.15 to 116.5. D.W. could have started Jalen Hurts to get the win, but missed starts across the board gave B.B. a free pass.

Teach v. Pistol

v.

In the most unlikely situation you will ever see, Pistol cannot stop shooting himself in the foot. Teach put up an all-time stinker of a week. Tee Higgins was out of the Bengals lineup but in Teach’s. Tyreek only managed 7 points. Hockenson only put up 2. Chris Carson added 15, D.J. Moore 16, and Waddle had 11. Monday night Teach rolled with Pollard and a 4 point lead, against Pistol and Greg the leg. Pistol saw top tier production from Hunt with 24, Hines with 16, and Robinson with 22. Sutton was down with 6, Slayton 2, Pitts 4, and James White just over a half point. In the end Teach pulled it off, 122.25 to 115.4. Pistol is really going through a roller coaster of a week. His team has been up and then somehow he ends up losing in the very end. Thank goodness, for Pistol, he lost in a nail biter.

Batman v. Mush’s Mongrels

v.

There is no person who benefited more from the scheduling change than (the person who did it) Mush. Batman had a bad week from some guys that should have turned it on. Fant had 2 and a half, Bob Woods still had a low 5 points, Gaskin only had 9, and Juju put up 4. In other news, Swift put up 20 and Jakobi Meyers put up 14. Mush’s backs finally turned it on. Clyde had 16, Gibby 17, and Javonte 11. Stafford had 43. Sneaky plays were Gesicki having 13, OBJ 11, and Ruggs 11. If you can have that 10-15 points across the board, that helps, and Mush got that this week. Mush wins 152.75 to 105.55. Also, Batman lost to Mush in a different league. What an embarrassing week for Batman. 0-2 to the same guy, same week? Big time yikes for him. I mean he really lost twice. Luckily Batman wears a mask because it has to be tough to look at the man in the mirror this week. He’s also 0-3.

Trashman v. Bruce

v.

Trashman has one of the worst on paper lineups. However, paper is just paper. Peyton Barber had 21, Cordarrelle Patterson had 14, and Bryan Edwards had 10. T-Law had 13, A-Rob had 3, and Chubb had 8. What kind of Bizzaro World is this? Bruce need 20 from Zeke Monday night. Goff had 13, J.T. had 7, Najee had 21 Godwin 16, Damien Harris 2, Chark 12, and K.J. Osborn 3. Bruce had a great bench day, with Sanders putting up 24, and Renfrow having 17. Bruce pulls off an insane comeback, Zeke had 25. Bruce wins 127.85 to 122.69. This is one of those games that no one should have won. Both teams having a QB put up 13 points, multiple single digit players, and now both teams are 1-2.

I would just ignore me. Predictions were off. Mike Evans did well, so did Godwin and Gronk. Fournette was not good. Chargers and Chiefs were good, but Hill was down. McLaurin was down but Gibby was up. Mixon and Harris both had good games. I will just start saying my guys will be bad.

Now let’s look at Dr. Tilt.
