Good morning everyone, we have the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 5 Preview. My computer is dead, so this will be a somewhat condensed version of the preview. Like my computer 2 teams are on the fringe of their playoff dreams dying. We will look at the Week 5 matchups, Dr. Tilt hopes to have an above .500 week, and the Week 5 Power Rankings. Let’s take a look at our Game of the Week.
Mush’s Mongrels v. Touchdown Guy

v.

I know, you are probably sick of seeing TDG in games of the week. But his team is hot, and his QB is tall. Mush and TDG have the best matchup, they are worthy of prime time. And primetime is the perfect spot for Mush to turn to mush. Mush is looking to keep the ball rolling with Clyde, Gibby, and Jacobs. Clyde faces a tough Buffalo defense, but the game should still be a shootout. Shootouts favor the QB, and TDG has the Tall Josh Allen. Hollywood, Deebo, and Diontae, need at least one break out to keep up with TDG and his big time backs. TDG has Derrick Henry against the Jaguars. The Jaguars stink, so Henry should get a lot of touches. Saquon goes against the tough Cowboys, but this should get Saquon more ppr points. Robert Woods had his first TD of the year last week, hopefully for TDG, Stafford (Mush’s QB) continues to fill everyone’s cup, not just Kupp. Adam Thielen has the Lions, and with how the Lions have been playing, this may be a sneaky shootout or at least require the Vikings to throw the ball more. Thielen needs a good week. TDG is a 17 point favorite in this potential playoff matchup, I think he gets it done.
Bruce v. CrossFit

v.

Bruce is 2-2 taking on the 4-0 CrossFit. Bruce’s only hope is that all his RBs go off. Zeke against the G-Men, Fournette against Miami, should both be plus matchups. The issue will be Najee against Denver and JT against Baltimore. The saving grace is that Big Ben can only check down, maybe a big ppr week for Harris again. Bruce also gets another week of Tyler Boyd without Tee Higgins, and the Packers secondary is banged up. This could be another big week for Boyd, and Bruce needs it. CrossFit is hoping Mike Davis can get his juice back against the Jets. Ekeler had a great Monday Night, but now faces a tough Browns D. Ekeler’s involvement in the passing game should save the week for him. Crowder had a big week, can he repeat? Cooper Kupp and Lockett both go Thursday night in what should be an air raid. CrossFit is projected to be the lead dog and will get to an early start Thursday Night. He could be lead dog start to finish. CrossFit is favored by 17, and he takes it.
JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Pistol

v.

After a big win, JD3 is lined up for a letdown game. With Logan Thomas banged up, JD3 is relying on Austin Hooper to do something. Thicc Randy is kicking for him. JD3 will not receive goose eggs in those spots again. Ja’Marr Chase goes against an injured Packers secondary, this should get Chase back in the end zone. Diggs plays Kansas City, lots of air yards to be had. With Miles Sanders playing the Panthers, and the Eagles not knowing how to run the football, it should be another bad week for the JD3 RBs. Pistol has a lot of good matchups this week. Murray just lit up the Rams, and now faces the 49ers that have QB/Offense concerns. That just means more time for Murray with the ball. James Rob goes against Tennessee that has a similar situation. Pistol has issues with if Cobb and Lazard can co-exist, will Danny Dimes have enough time to get Toney the ball, and does Sutton have a capable QB? All these questions sway Pistol’s chances. I don’t pick this game, but JD3 is a 24 point favorite.
PeePaw v. Daddy Wombat

v.

PeePaw is looking for Darnold to continue his hot start. Cook plays the Lions, but injury concerns are there. Not on the injury report, it’s just that Cook goes missing for a couple drives each week. It is make or break time for Aiyuk, having a rough start to the season, he needs to show something. Adams and Justin Jefferson should provide a lot of offense for PeePaw. With A.J. Brown, if healthy, he may send the Jags home needing a “couple days to clear their head.” D.W. is down bad. Injuries bad, depth bad. Russ has been ok. Damien Williams should be the starter for the Bears if he’s healthy. Kamara has a mini issue in the Saints offense because they won’t just give him the ball every play. I would give him the ball every play, he’s too good. Will Fuller is on IR, Claypool is questionable after missing Week 4, and everyone else is bad. D.W. is already starting Rondale Moore, Gabriel Davis, and Byron Pringle. Who the last spot will go to, should not really matter. PeePaw is a 25 point favorite as of now, likely will be a 18 point favorite once the roster is adjusted by D.W., either way PeePaw his first win.
Bottom Bunk v. Batman

v.

B.B. lost Monday Night and is not ready for Batman. B.B.’s QB is questionable in Teddy2Gloves. Edmonds is ok, but the 49ers are solid. Hendy should have a big week at Seattle. Corey Davis against the Falcons should be good too. Ridley might have a down week as the Jets are bad, but their defense is solid. Batman needs a win. This could be the week. Swift against Minnesota and Hubbard (assuming CMC is still out) against the Eagles should both be good matchups. The sneaky play is Laviska Shenault who saw a ton of targets after Chark went down. He could be the difference maker for Batman moving forward. Jakobi Meyers, target machine, goes against the Texans after Bellichek lost to Brady. I expect the Patriots to take it out on the Texans. Batman is a 14 point favorite, I’m rolling with the favorite.
Teach v. Trashman

v.

Teach may lose Mixon come Sunday and will have to alter his lineup. Carson had a weird week 4. The RB room for Teach is in trouble. A.J. Green is surprisingly hot hot hot. Tyreek Hill will have a tough individual matchup this week against the Bills, but he always finds a way to get it done. D.J. Moore is unreal, I think he keeps it going against the Eagles. Trashman has a good matchup with Aaron Jones against Cincy. Cordarrelle Patterson against the Jets should result in another good week for him. A-Rob has been bad, is he worth the gamble in Vegas? Kenny G has turned it on, Danny Dimes needs to find time to throw it up against the Dallas D. Teach is an 11 point favorite, and I’ll finish up by taking all the favorites this week. Maybe Dr. Tilt should consider that.
Condensed predictions: give me Hendy, Fournette, Kenny G, and Emmanuel Sanders. Keep Saquon, Gaskin, Tryeek, and Ridley.
Now let’s look at Dr. Tilt.

Dr. Tilt. has his prescription for the week.
The Doc won’t lie to you guys, it’s been a rough start to the season so far. But it’s a long season and this is the week it turns around.
Positive. Vibes Only.
Here are the picks for Week 5. Fade at your own risk (you know who you are).
Titans -4 @ Jaguars
Eagles @ Panthers Under 45
Dolphins @ Buccaneers -10

Let’s dive into the Week 5 Power Rankings.

Not a ton of movement. Mush goes up, TDG goes down. The top 4 are elite. The opposite can be said for the bottom 4.
Well that does it this week for the PCDL. Wish me luck as I fire up the new computer later this week. We are so back baby. Speaking of being back, we will be back on Tuesday, hopefully every team has at least 1 win next time around. Until then, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
