Good morning everyone, we have the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 9 Preview. We are getting there. It’s amazing to think the NFL fantasy football season is half way over. I spent most of the season typing away, waiting for the words to appear on my screen only to see typos and have to go back and edit. But not anymore, this new computer is something else. I do not understand how a lot of things work, but how computers slow down, cell phones batteries run out, and how our body just breathes on its own are all things I’ll never understand. One thing I do know is that these Week 9 matchups are the same as the Week 5 matchups. This will end our “rematches”. The teams have changed, whether through trades or injury. One team who has had a lot of injuries will be in our Game of the Week, the other is one of the hottest teams in the league. We will check out the Game of the Week, the other matchups, Dr. Tilt’s Week 9 picks, and the Week 9 Power Rankings. Let’s dive into the Game of the Week.
Game of the Week.
CrossFit v. Bruce

v.

This game of the week is already filled with drama and excitement. Dak Prescott was out last week, I think he plays this week and gives CrossFit a QB this week. CrossFit has two solid QBs, but Brady is on bye. This is an all-time AGHHHH moment for CrossFit as he checks his lineup at 11:45 am making sure Dak is a go. CMC is still on IR. CMC and Joe Mixon last year just teased coming back. That is what a franchise that loves their RB does. CMC was involved in a Deshaun Watson trade talk, now he’s in a bubble? Make up your mind Carolina. Other starts, Amari Cooper Kupp, Kelce, Ertz, and Ekeler. Hot team. Bruce is hot. He has tore off six straight wins. One of those wins over CrossFit. Can Bruce pull of his best Cardi? If it’s up, then it’s up, then it’s up, then it’s stuck. Is Bruce stuck in a win streak? Zeke, JT, Najee, and Damien Harris all will put up at least average scores. Solid scores. Boom or bust guys, Renfrow, Bateman, and Emmanuel Sanders. Renfrow is an absolute play rest of season as he will receive all the targets after Waller. Right now, with Dak and CMC, CrossFit is a 12 point favorite, if Dak and CMC play I don’t think it matters, Bruce has a safer floor, Bruce gets it done.
Daddy Wombat v. PeePaw

v.

Daddy Wombat won this week 5 matchup. Daddy Wombat will have some tough plays here with Metcalf on bye. James Rob will be a tough play too, hopefully for D.W. he’s healthy. Jeudy, Claypool, D. Hop, and Kamara, it sounds like a good play, but D.W. is looking at a 14 point dog. PeePaw has been bad as a dog or favorite. Guy cannot get it done. Dalvin, Davante, CeeDee, Justin Jefferson, and Aiyuk, are all good players. Why PeePaw can’t win makes no sense. I do not know what to say, PeePaw is a favorite and I think he gets it done and delays the inevitable of missing the playoffs.
Batman v. Bottom Bunk

v.

Batman gets Lamar and Waller back. Jeremy McNichols is the guy? Maybe, either way he’s worth a play. Elijah Mitchell may be hurt. DeVante Parker is a sneaky play. We will see how Batman does, this is a game he must win. I do not think Batman can field a roster that won’t beat Bottom Bunk. It is insane how bad Bottom Bunk’s team is. B.B. has Tua, Edmonds, three benched qbs, two kickers rostered, and two open taxi spots. **Update, completed roster and a big spend on AP, who has no long term dynasty value when your team is in an obvious rebuild. Batman is a 30 point favorite, easy win.
Trashman v. Teach

v.

Trashman has Aaron Jones, Zack Moss, Nick Chubb, Cordarrelle Patterson, A-Rob, Juice, and Mark Andrews. The WRs for Trashman are trash, the Rbs for Trashman are mans. During his union mandated breaks Trashman reads a Tale of Two Cities, or maybe it’s just his position groups. Teach is on the playoff bubble. This is a must win. Teach loses he’s on the outside looking in. Teach has Mixon, Pollard, Waddle, Tyreek, and D.J. Moore. D.J. Teach is starting Albert Okwuegbunam the TE 45 on the year. I hope he knows that the waiver wire has 12 TEs with better rankings than Okwuegbunam. Teach is a 16 point favorite, and he gets it done this week, even though I want him to lose.
Touchdown Guy v. Mush’s Mongrels

v.

This was the Week 5 Game of the Week. TDG won. TDG needs two guys to be healthy. Saquon and George Kittle. Unfortunately, he’s likely to lose Saquon. He will NEED NEED Kittle. TDG has been having some RB luck with Melly and Conner. Will these guys keep getting TDs? Hopefully for TDG. Bob Woods, Adam Thielen, and Mike Williams should all have good weeks. I don’t know those guys just get it done. Mike Williams had to deal with the Pats taking him away. Big bounce back for Mike Williams. Mush is desperate for a win. Mush is going currently tied for his longest losing streak on the season. Mush has Darrell Hendy, Javonte, Boston Scott, and Josh Jacobs. He’s got some solid backend RB1 options. Hollywood Brown, Deebo, and Diontae Johnson, also solid backend WR1 options. Mush’s team is not one you want but all guys you’d love to have. I do not know how to explain it. TDG is a 3 point favorite and somehow the App is giving Mush a 52/48 odds to win. Give me TDG because the App is wrong.
Pistol v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

v.

Pistol has a lot of tough matchups this week. Kahlil Herbert, Michael Carter, and Brandon Bolden all go up against Defenses that hate RBs. Sutton has a golden matchup against Dallas and A.J. Brown should be alright. Kyle Pitts will be the Falcons #1 target going forward but at the same time he will be the defenses #1 target. JD3 has no RBs, they are hurt or the coaches just won’t play them. Arguably the worst RB situation in the league. I mean I have no clue how it got this bad and I know the guy managing the team. But my goodness, when his WRs click it is so beautiful. I’m talking sunrise on the lake beautiful. What a sneaky season by Pittman, just an insane rookie year by Chase. It’s the vets that aren’t pulling their weight. Keenan Allen and Stefon Diggs can go hamburger at any point. I won’t pick this one but JD3 is a 20 point favorite.
Now let’s look at Dr. Tilt.
Dr. Tilt Week 9 Picks

Here’s the Week 9 prescription from the Doc.
Broncos @ Cowboys -10
Patriots @ Panthers Under 41
Browns @ Bengals -2.5
Dr. Tilt is 10-15 on the Season.
Now for the Power Rankings

Three teams missed the 100 point mark, three teams at the bottom that STINK. Bruce is a win away from being Top Dog.
Well that does it for the Week 9 Preview. We are getting closer to locking up some playoff spots and some playoff eliminations. We have a couple weeks left for trades and will likely run out of waiver moves, I mean people can’t keep getting injured right? Hopefully no one does and hopefully you and yours don’t. Until next time I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
