Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Preview

Good morning everyone, we have the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Preview. The regular season ends Week 14, so there is a total four games left to seal your fate. We are going to dive into the game of the week, matchups, Dr. Tilt, Power Rankings, and breakdown the playoff picture for each team. It’s going to get confusing, and that’s the best part. Here is our game of the week.

Game of the Week.

Daddy Wombat v. Trashman

v.

This is going to be a battle to 100 points. First team to 100 probably makes it. D.W. has a chance to take down the playoff hopeful Trashman. This is D.W.’s super bowl. D.W. is hoping to have Kamara back. He makes or breaks his team. Pairing that with James Rob, that is a sneaky 1-2 punch at RB. Now if we look to the WR department. D.W. is trying out Metcalf, D-Hop, and Rondale Moore. Tight end is going to be tough as Higbee is on bye. Trashman is looking to get a needed win. He is facing some issues with Aaron Jones injury and Cordarrelle Patterson. The good news is Nick Chubb should be back and even Kenny G. Trashman needs a big Mark Andrews. Trashman needs to win the TE matchup. That should help make up for some of his deficiencies. This matchup should be neck and neck come kickoff. I think the healthy big names of D.W. get it done.

Bruce v. PeePaw

v.

If we were doing a co-game of the week this would be it. Bruce is hot, PeePaw is rising, it’s a tale of two teams. I have never read that (a) book so I have no idea if that is a good reference or not. Bruce is so RB heavy, Najee, Zeke, JT, and Fournette. WR he is lacking, Godwin, Renfrow, and the Rookie Bateman. PeePaw is getting his big hitters back. Dalvin Cook and David Monty. WRs are big hitters too, Davante, CeeDee, and Justin Jefferson. It’s balance versus big names. Who gets it done? Right now Bruce is a 9 point favorite, but I think as it gets closer to kickoff My Name Jeffrey Wilson will project more points. So I expect it to be neck and neck and PeePaw gets it done.

Pistol v. Batman

v.

I have to mention that Pistol won last week and helped one of his draft picks. This week he wants to lose to help his own draft pick. Pistol does not have many big name guys. Let’s dive into the sleepers. Michael Carter, A.J. Brown, Pitts, and Kadarius Toney. Those are going to be the guys that need to get it done. Plus Pistol is always good for a no name to get points. That’s what he does. Batman, well he is scoring a lot of points lately. He is looking at sneaking into that last spot. Gaskin has been up and down all year. Swift is good and Elijah Mitchell has a hand injury. RBs need their hands. A.J. Dillon is going to be a top 5 RB this week. Now, WR wise, it’s the young gun DaVonta Smith and I hate the endzone Jakobi Meyers. Batman should be a 35 point favorite, I think he gets it done.

Teach v. Bottom Bunk

v.

Teach needs a get right game. Bottom Bunk it the worst team (statistically) in the league. No better time to get right. Teach is rocking Mixon, Stevenson, Tyreek, D.J. Moore, and T.J. H0ckens0n (I used zeros for the letter o because he did not score points last week). The good news for Teach is that even if half his team puts up a goose egg he still has a fair shot at winning the week. Bottom Bunk has Tua, Christian Kirk, and Justin Tucker as the only above 10 point projections. Teach is a 38 point favorite. See ya B.B. Teach takes it and still remains outside the playoff picture.

CrossFit v. Touchdown Guy

v.

A game that is crucial for the playoff picture. Insert “if there were a co-game of the week this would be it” line here. This should be a close one. CrossFit loses Cooper Kupp this week. CMC and Austin Ekeler are great RBs. He also needs help from Amari Cooper, Tyler Lockett, and Travis Kelce. The biggest question for CrossFit is does he trust Brady in a bounce back game? Or does he roll out Dak against the high scoring Chiefs. Oh boy, decisions, decisions. TDG finally gets back Saquon, Will Darrel Williams still be the bell cow for KC? Or will Clyde cut into his touches? Kittle, Adam Thielen, and Mike and Mike Evans and Williams need to get it done for TDG to get back on top. This matchup is pretty much for the second seed. CrossFit should be a 3 point favorite once it’s all said and done. This one is too close to call, but I think CMC is too much. CrossFit gets it done.
***TDG made a big time trade for Josh Jacobs, I think CMC is too much, TDG sent away a future first and second to…..

Mush’s Mongrels v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

v.

This is one of the biggest games of Mush’s life. For JD3 it’s not that big of a deal. If it’s a battle of who wants it more, Mush will win it. If it’s based on talent, then I’m not so sure. The app really loves JD3 and Ja’Marr Chase for that matter. Chase is projected 17 points in a tough matchup. So maybe the projections are a little on the heavy side for JD3. Mush is starting rookie sensation Mac Jones, Gibby, Deebo, Diontae, and the revenge game for Michael Gallup. JD3 is hoping to get Kareem Hunt and Chris Carson back. Mix in Diggs, Allen, Cooks, McLaurin, and Cooks, daddy looking and daddy liking. JD3 is an 18 point favorite, and I cannot pick this one, but I’ll let the app do the talking.

***Mush sent away Josh Jacobs for a future first and second, the rebuild begins.

Now let’s look at Dr. Tilt.

Here’s the Week 11 prescription from the Doc

The Doc needs a coach’s pep talk, so we brought in Mike Tomlin to get us back on track: “It is a fine between drinking wine and squashing grapes, as we say in this business, and sometimes it is very subtle.” Thanks for your words coach.

New Orleans Saints (+2) @ Philadelphia Eagles
Over the past 3 weeks, the Eagles have started to run the football more to many analysts’ delight (and the Doc’s Eagles pick last week). But the Eagles matchups in the past three weeks have provided them with a huge advantage in the trenches for them to effectively run the ball. This is a matchup bet with the Saints boasting the second best rush defense based on EPA per rush. Outside of the matchup, the Saints also fall into the short (under 7) road dog trend. Short road dogs are covering at a great rate. Expect the Saints to stop the Eagles run and Siemian to continue to look serviceable.

Green Bay Packers (-2.5) @ Minnesota Vikings
The Packers are 9-1 against the spread this year. They have been a covering machine since the fluke of a game against the Saints. In a divisional matchup, the Doc loves getting the Packers at under a field goal. While the Doc is still waiting on our clinical trials to determine if surrounding yourself with plexiglass is a form of immunization; at this time, the Doc is more confident you can trust in Rodgers 500 pages of research on ivermection than you can in Kirk Cousins for four quarters.
Baltimore Ravens (-4.5) @ Chicago Bears
System play, the Doc’s models have this line power rated at Ravens -7.5 giving us a lot of value. The system you ask? Fade teams coming off a bye. With changes in the CBA, teams are not allowed to practice as much during a bye week. This rule change has caused many teams coming off a bye to look rusty. In recent days, the Doc has seen some major line movement, pushing the line through some key numbers all the way down to 4.5 where the Doc is more than happy to lay the points. From a matchup perspective, watch for Lamar to bounce back and carry this Ravens team.

Dr. Tilt is 12-19 on the Season.

Now for the Power Rankings

Bottom Bunk continues to fail to reach 100 points, and now is the worst team on the app, not just the power rankings. Bruce has a chance to separate himself here. In the perfect scenario for Bruce, he wins and CrossFit wins, that will give him a 1 game lead instead of just points.

Playoff Picture. Let’s look team by team.

Bruce – he has a 3 game lead over 7th place. A win this week all but seals it. His points are too much to overcome.

Touchdown Guy – Same thing as Bruce if he beats CrossFit, same thing as CrossFit if he loses to CrossFit but next week.

CrossFit – he gets a little closer. A win this week would likely put him over the edge. Only having a two game lead, the points are there. If he can get a win here it not only positions himself well, but down the road. CrossFit’s remaining matchups after this week are for non-playoff projected teams.

JonnyDIII – JD3 is in the same boat as CrossFit. Win here, the rest of the way is easy. Except for the final week. He goes up against Bruce. Two wins should do it, they may just come in weeks 12 and 13.

Mush – he finds himself in a dead heat. 3 teams are tied at 5-5. Each team could lose, or each team could win, who knows. Mush needs a win here to prove that he’s not just an average team.

Pistol – he will not make the playoffs. Pistol is going to do this perfectly. He is going to finish 7th and he’s going to win the toilet bowl. This will gain him an extra first.

Trashman – he is 51 points out of a playoff spot. He is going up against D.W. so this should give him a good shot at the victory.

Teach – 4-6 finds himself a game out of the playoffs and a mess of points. Next week will be a new story as he is guaranteed a win this week.

Batman – he is sneaking up on everyone, but at 4-6 there is a lot of work to be done. I find him in the same spot as Teach, this is a wait a week and see how things play out.

PeePaw – 3-7 and two games out, he needs help. He is getting his RBs back at the best time. It will be a photo finish to see if it all works out. He has three tough matchups ahead. It will not be easy, but if it happens this will be the greatest comeback in the history of comebacks.

Daddy Wombat – 3-7 as well, but it’s over for D.W. He doesn’t have any depth. Is it statistically impossible for D.W. to make the playoffs, no, but I’m saying it.

Bottom Bunk – 2-8 is not good. He is three games back. A loss this week and it’s officially over for him. B.B. has the chance to be the first team to be statistically eliminated from the playoffs.

Well that does it for the Week 9 Preview. We are getting closer to locking up some playoff spots and some playoff eliminations. We have a couple weeks left for trades and will likely run out of waiver moves, I mean people can’t keep getting injured right? Hopefully no one does and hopefully you and yours don’t. Until next time I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
