Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Playoff Recap. What an ugly week. Only a couple dudes were dudes this week. Let’s look at who limped into the second round and what bye teams had players limp out of their lineup. We dive into the playoffs, consolation bracket, and we have a big announcement for Dr. Tilt.
Bye Teams:
#1 Touchdown Guy

TDG’s WR room is hamstrung with the uncertainty of three vets. Julio, Thielen, and Evans all are banged up. The good news is that TDG can still play Tim Patrick and Marquez Callaway as both had solid weeks. TDG will face the lowest seeded opponent.
#2 Bruce

Bruce is down bad. Fournette has an injury and Chris Godwin has an injury that should keep him out this week. Bruce’s WR was thin and it is thinner. Bruce was for the most part healthy all year. Suffering injuries this late in the season is devastating. We will see who Bruce relies on to try to get a shot at the title. Bruce plays the highest seeded opponent.
#3 CrossFit v. #6 Batman

v.

What a weekend. If you would have told me Dak gets 18 points, do you start Dak or Brady I would have already had Brady in the lineup. That is what CrossFit did. Somehow Brady put up half the points. Ekeler had 16, Ertz had 10, and Travis Kelce shot off Thursday with 36. It would all come down to Cooper Kupp Tuesday night. Batman had an uphill battle. He would enter Tuesday down about 8. He had DeVonta Smith and the kicker to go. Setting up the Tuesday showdown was DeVante Parker’s 15, A.J. Dillon’s 10, and MVS with 18. Tuesday night settled things. Smith and the kicker got 15 and Kupp got 30. Kupp turned it on late and ruined a lot of peoples’ fantasy dreams, mine, my family’s, and Batman. The winner is CrossFit 130.6 to 108.55 and CrossFit will face a banged up Bruce.
#4 Mush’s Mongrels v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

v.

Mush was the home team but JD3 got the ball first. Mahomes started off with a good Thursday showing and Keenan Allen did too. Mush saw Clyde put up a less than expected performance. JD3 saw Devin Singletary put up 16, Brandin Cooks had 25, and then Michael Pittman was ejected with 1.2 points and Ja’Marr Chase played the whole game and ended with 0.8 points. JD3 would have Miles Sanders Tuesday night to solve things. Mush had Clyde, he had Deebo with 17, but the majority of Mush’s Mongrels played in the Tuesday game. JD3 took the get points now approach, Mush wanted to savor every minute of the playoffs. Tuesday Mush had Stafford, Gibby, OBJ, Hendy, and the kicker. Miles Sanders got 15 and Mush’s Tuesday Team got 52 points. JonnyDIII came out on top 153.6 to 111.8 and will face Touchdown Guy.
Consolation Byes
#7 Trashman

Trashman needed the bye as his team is all Covid. I am sure Trashman will take the loss of a Mark Andrews huge week if he gets Cordarrelle of old next week when it matters. Trashman needed the bye and got it. Trashman will face the lower seeded opponent.
#8 Teach

Teach also benefited from the bye. If there was no bye Teach probably would have played Rhamondre Stevenson and would have got 4.5 points. That would have been a downer for him. Teach made it and will now lose against the higher seeded opponent.
#9 PeePaw v. #12 Bottom Bunk

v.

Christian Kirk scored 20 points for Bottom Bunk and made up about a quarter of the points. PeePaw got it done easily. Adams had 13, Schultz had 16, Foreman had 14, Reynolds had 15, and I am writing this prior to the Vikings Bears game, so Cook, Monty, and Jefferson all combined for at least 45 points. PeePaw wins easily, undisclosed amount to under 100 points. PeePaw will face Teach.
*** Update the trio of Cook/Monty/Jefferson combined for 30 and PeePaw won 143.5 to 91.7.
#10 Pistol v. #11 Daddy Wombat

v.

I am not sure if D.W. knew how important this week was. D.W. started D-Hop. James Rob at least got 16 points. Pistol loves picks so he showed up this week unlike Kyler Murray. Russel Gage had 19 and Braxton Berrios put up 12. Pistol barely wins 92.95 to 61.32. Pistol will face Trashman.
Now let’s dive into Dr. Tilt.

Tomorrow we will look at the Round 2 of the playoffs. This is so exciting. What a boring week, if you lost you feel sick and if you won you still feel sick. No one should have a ton of confidence going into the second round, the saving grace, going into the second round. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
