Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Rookie Rankings. The NFL Draft is over, now it is time to gear up for your fantasy football drafts. The PCDL has a 5 round draft. The draft selections consist of rookies and/or dynasty free agents. The first four rounds have 13 picks and the fifth and final round has 12 picks. That is 64 selections, here we breakdown the top (Nintendo) 64 rookies plus we add a bonus 5 best available free agents. For these rankings, I am strictly going best available. Let’s dive into it.

***MISSING HAVE YOU SEEN ME? REWARD AVAILABLE***
Top 64 Rookies
1.01 – Breece Hall – RB – New York Jets – 6’1 – 220 lbs. – RB1
The Jets have had a long history of high production low result fantasy RBs. Breece Hall finds himself in the best Jets team since Mark Sanchez. The Jets have a lot of firepower on offense. More importantly for Breece is that his competition is a 5’8 201 lbs. 4th round pick the year previous. This is a very similar situation Singletary and Zack Moss were in. Moss comes in and takes the work. Sing and Moss were both third rounders. Here, Hall is a second and Michael Carter is fourth. Hall’s size advantage and draft capital advantage make him the day 1 starter.
1.02 – Drake London – WR – Atlanta Falcons – 6’5 – 210 lbs. – WR1
All the wide receivers are the same. What makes London better? Well he has no QB like all these top guys, but Drake has no competition in the WR room. Drake also has the size and speed to make him a great WR. The Falcons also just cut Mike Davis, meaning Cordarrelle Patterson is going to have to lineup in the backfield more. To me this means Drake is the guy at WR in the red zone.
1.03 – Kenneth Walker III – RB – Seattle Seahawks – 5’10 – 210 lbs. – RB2
Walker jumps the other WRs here because they are too similar. Walker was projected as the RB3 at worst. He was drafted as the second best RB and finds himself on a team that is in desperate need of a young healthy RB. While Walker was great last year, he was average at Wake Forest. You see a lot of Big 10 RBs that are incredible and then are hit or miss in the NFL. Sure, lumping Big 10 RBs together when that is just the position at whole seems unfair, but I want my brat and until I get it I’ll be mad.
1.04 – Jameson Williams – WR – Detroit Lions – 6’2 – 189 lbs. – WR2
Yes, I am putting an injured guy here ahead of non-injured WRs. Why? Well he is Detroit’s WR1 as soon as he steps on the field. St. Brown is great, but Williams is better. This is what the Lions need to have a better offense, an elite WR1. While Williams was a late bloomer in college due to always playing on teams with elite WRs (see next two WRs), he is in the perfect position to be the best WR in this draft class. While this pick will not immediately produce for you, next season will be incredible.
1.05 – Treylon Burks – WR – Tennessee Titans – 6’3 – 225 lbs. WR3
Titans felt that they needed to make a trade to get rid of A.J. Brown. They did and they tried to replace him immediately. Burks is mentioned as the best route runner in the draft. Burks was the preseason WR1 of this class. Burks has a lot of size to bang around with the best of them. Burks, like London, steps into the WR1 position immediately.
1.06 – Garrett Wilson – WR – New York Jets – 6’0 – 192 lbs. – WR4
Terrifying right? Two Jets in the top half of the first for a rookie mock draft. No way this falls apart. Wilson was drafted ahead of both former teammates, Olave and Williams, this is due to Williams injury and due to Wilson outperforming Olave this last year. Wilson will have competition with Elijah Moore and Corey Davis, so that is why he is behind Williams, but the production will come. The issue with a lot of these top WR guys is that they will not burn as bright as last years top WRs.
1.07 – Chris Olave – WR – New Orleans Saints – 6’1 – 188 lbs. – WR5
Olave was one of the favorites heading into this season. He did not really do anything to drop off, it is just that everyone else played so well. Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you got ‘til its gone Olave in paradise he got his own parking spot. Depending on how much Mikey T plays, depends on the success of Olave. I actually want Mikey T to play to open things up for Olave. Without Mikey T then Olave might get doubled. Saints are in trouble this year, Olave and Mikey T have to produce for them.
1.08 – Christian Watson – WR – Green Bay Packers – 6’5 – 208 lbs. – WR6
Watson can fly and he’s big. You get two years of Rodgers guaranteed. Watson might be the most productive player in this draft class for the first two years. Realistically, think about it. Adams leaves behind 169 targets, 123 receptions, 1,553 yards, and 11 TDs. MVS leaves behind 55 targets, 26 receptions, 430 yards, and 3 TDs. Allen Lazard had 60 targets, 40 receptions, 513 yards, and 8 TDs and is the only returning top 3 WR for the Packers. Let’s average the numbers. That is 88 targets, 63 receptions, 832 yards, and 7.3 TDs per guy. Realistically, the TDs are high but the yards and receptions are very doable for Watson. Those would be DeVonta Smith numbers, but DeVonta did not have the reigning MVP throwing him the rock. Watson has all the immediate upside a guy could dream of.
1.09 – George Pickens – WR – Pittsburgh Steelers – 6’3 – 200 lbs. – WR7
I am a known Mike Tomlin truther, and the truth about Tomlin is he hits on all WRs. Pickens is the toughest guy in the draft. He mauls dudes. He is an absolute psychopath in the best way. The Steelers let Juju walk, they will have to pay either Diontae or Claypool, or neither. Either way Pickens will be either the guy or be the other guy. At this point in the draft, knowing who will instantly will produce gets thin, we slowly have to look at long term. Pickens provides both possible immediate production and long term it may open up to him nicely.
1.10 – Skyy Moore – WR – Kansas City Chiefs – 5’10 – 195 lbs. – WR8
Moore is interesting. He has the best or top 3 dynasty QB right now. He has a bunch of random guys as his WRs. No true WR1 on the team. Juju has been hurt, MVS has been too, Mercole never did much, so there is room for Moore. Juju is a good slot. MVS can do it too, but he’s a speedy outside guy. Hardman is outside. I do not know what the Chiefs want to do. But if Hardman is given an outside spot, then Moore has to compete with a solid vet in the slot. Moore is small. On paper I’d rather have Juju in there going across the middle and breaking tackles. But Juju is on a one year deal, Moore just has to prove he can play and wait his turn.
1.11 – James Cook – RB – Buffalo Bills – 5’11 – 190 lbs. – RB3
This is super interesting. Singletary had a great rookie year and now finished super strong in year 3. He survived Zack Moss and Matt Breida, but now he has to compete with Cook. Cook is known for his hands. Josh Allen is known to throw the football. If you are passing the ball, would you have the better pass catcher in or the vet. I know for the first half of the season Singletary should be in the most due to pass protection. James Cook has to figure the NFL stuff out first. But like Gordon and Williams in Denver, eye up after the bye week or after Week 8, a shift towards or to even things up for Cook.
1.12 – John Metchie III – WR – Houston Texans – 6‘0 – 195 lbs. – WR9
This is solely based on draft position and school. Metchie was at Bama and can fly. Metchie had an ACL injury, but if Williams can go top 10, no reason Metchie isn’t a top 10 rookie WR. Metchie immediately has a shot at the WR2 spot. Brandin Cooks is the WR1, but Nicol or Metchie can be the WR2. Metchie has more draft capital, so it should be a tight race.
1.13 – Jahan Dotson – WR – Washington Commanders – 5’11 – 184 lbs. – WR10
Dotson is a first round pick. McLaurin and Curtis Samuel are the WR1 and WR2, but WR3 spot is open and Dotson is the 16th pick. If you are going to grab a WR that early you have to play him. I do not know why the Commanders took Dotson this high, I do not see the stats to support taking him this high, I am not going to watch film on why he was chose this high because he’s on Washington and I’ll avoid him if he falls to 25.
2.01 – Trey McBride – TE – Arizona Cardinals – 6’4 – 260 lbs. – TE1
A second round TE is a huge investment. Cards have an out on Ertz’s contract in two years. Meaning in 2024 it is all Trey McBride time. Sign me up. Trey McBride is the clear cut TE1 of this draft and I think he makes an early impact especially with D-Hop being out 6 weeks.
2.02 – Rachaad White – RB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 6’2 – 210 lbs. – RB4
White is in a decent spot. The Bucs have Fournette, Bernard, and Vaughn. Obviously the Bucs do not love that (Veronica) Vaughn. Now the Bucs have a new coach and a new rookie RB. With White being a 3rd rounder, I think he has a shot at being in the mix next year. Bucs have an out on Fournette after 2024. This may be like a transition into White, and who knows, if Brady is gone after this year maybe Fournette is too.
2.03 – Kenny Pickett – QB – Pittsburgh Steelers – 6’3 – 220 lbs. – QB1
Pickett is the only QB that is a plug and play. The Steelers took Najee Harris last year, Pickens this year, have Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Pat Freiermuth. I mean this is a young core that is exciting. The Steelers always compete and now it is up to Pickett to get it done. Pickett is your best shot at a short term and long term QB in this draft. He is the only NFL ready guy. That is the point of being in the NFL, being NFL ready. Pickett is the QB pick.
2.04 – David Bell – WR – Cleveland Browns – 6’2 – 205 lbs. – WR11
The Browns have Amari Cooper. Then it goes to Anthony Schwartz and DPJ. Bell averaged a 100 yards a game at Purdue. I’ll take 100 cc’s of Bell for a second round steal. Oh and Bell is going to have Watson as his QB (hopefully). Bell will be a great addition to an fantasy roster.
2.05 – Dameon Pierce – RB – Houston Texans – 5’10 – 215 lbs. – RB5
The Texans are absolutely terrible, but they do not have an RB. Pierce is scary because he never had a 100 yard game in his college career. I do not know how that happens. I know guys that were like 7th on their depth chart that stumbled into a 100 yard game. I mean with Marlon Mack and Rex Burkhead, Pierce is going to play soon. While Pierce might not be the bell cow this year, next year he should get a lot of touches.
2.06 – Alec Pierce – WR – Indianapolis Colts – 6’3 – 213 lbs. – WR12
Parris ain’t it, Pittman is the world’s greatest, and JT is going to get all the touches. The WR2 spot is up in the air and Pierce is a lock for the WR3 position. Matty Ice will pass the ball around, so Pierce should receive some work. At this point you are just looking for players that can have a starting spot.
2.07 – Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears – 6’0 – 200 lbs. – WR13
See above. Jones should be the WR3. Darnell Mooney is the clear cut WR1. Now we have a 5-way fight for the WR2 position. Byron Pringle, Equanimeous St. Brown, Dazz Newsom, David Moore, and Velus Jones Jr. You have to think that Velus gets the nod because the other guys have not capitalized on their chances. Give Fields a couple of young guys to grow with. Honestly, at this point in the rankings it is all made up. This draft has 20 WRs from here on out that are fighting for starting spots but nothing is guaranteed.
2.08 – Jalen Tolbert – WR – Dallas Cowboys – 6’3 – 190 lbs. – WR14
Tolbert slipped into the late third, but he fell on a good team. Tolbert is in a position where the team loves to chuck the ball, just lost a valuable receiver, and another receiver is coming off of an injury. Let’s not forget that the electric Ced-Wil is gone. Tolbert finds himself in the starting lineup even if Gallup is back week 1. Tolbert has a chance to be the WR2 opposite of Lamb for the next four years. That is exciting stuff especially for a late second round pick.
2.09 – Zamir White – RB – Las Vegas Raiders – 6’0 – 215 lbs. – RB6
The Raiders drafted a whole bunch of players in the first in 2019. They did not pick up a single one of their 5th year options. Josh Jacobs being one of those 5th year options. I do not know what the Raiders are doing, but Zamir finds himself in a potential starting role in two years. With a weak RB class, a potential year 2 starter is a plus.
2.10 – Brian Robinson Jr. – RB – Washington Commanders – 6’1 – 225 lbs. – RB7
The Commanders must hate Gibby. McKissic is back but a third round RB is not exactly a good sign for Gibby. I think the Commanders use Robinson eventually as the thunder to Gibby’s lightning, but it will be later in the year. Gibby is the guy, but Robinson should still have a shot at a role in the backfield.
2.11 – Tyquan Thornton – WR – New England Patriots – 6’3 – 182 lbs. – WR15
Thornton joins a tragic group of WRs. That group is a WR drafted to the New England Patriots. A historically bad landing spot for a WR. But Thornton ran a 4.2 at the combine and is the fastest human being at the draft. Everyone ahead of him is old. He is not a play today guy, but he has to play at some point with his pure speed.
2.12 – Wan’Dale Robinson – WR – New York Giants – 5’11 – 185 lbs. – WR16
Wan’Dale is a backup to start the season. But he is the WR selected by a new coach in the second round. He was picked over Metchie and Pickens, so Daboll must really love something about this guy if it is his WR in his first draft. You have to trust his offensive genius as the only thing that can separate Robinson from the rest of the pack.
2.13 – Danny Gray – WR – San Francisco 49ers – 6’1 – 180 lbs. – WR17
Danny Gray is behind Deebo on the depth chart. Deebo is gone. Aiyuk absolutely stunk at the beginning of last year. He’s a long shot, but that is where we are in the draft. None of these guys have spots. There is a ton of average talent in the draft, but there are not a bunch of top end guys. That means they all have equal footing for potential fantasy roles going forward. However, none of these guys are locks. Danny Gray is a trade away from being big time.
3.01 – Tyler Allgeier – RB – Atlanta Falcons – 5’11 – 220 lbs. – RB8
Allgeier is a fifth rounder. That is not great. But the Falcons cut Mike Davis and it is just Cordarrelle Patterson. Cordarrelle cannot be the only ball carrier this year. Someone has to take Davis’ carries. It may go to Damien Williams, who is 30, and signed a 1 year deal. This is likely, but the future is uncertain. With Cordarrelle being 31 and Williams being 30, the Falcons need someone young to run the ball, Allegeier appears to be the guy.
3.02 – Desmond Ridder – QB – Atlanta Falcons – 6’4 – 215 lbs. – QB2
Ridder guaranteed a Super Bowl. He also is clearly going to be the QB next year. The Falcons are in full rebuild. Ridley is out a year, Mariota is the QB, the RBs are 30.5 years old. They drafted a young WR, I mean they are looking to do something in two/three years time. Ridder should be the QB when it all clicks if it is not sooner.
3.03 – Hassan Haskins – RB – Tennessee Titans – 6’1 – 220 lbs. – RB9
Derrick Henry is 28 and sat out a good chunk of the year with injury. He is great when healthy, there is no disputing that. The only thing to dispute is when and how long will he be in there. More importantly the backup spot is wide open in Tennessee. Haskins will have opportunity and also may have the opportunity in a couple years.
3.04 – Isaiah Spiller – RB – Los Angeles Chargers – 6’1 – 215 lbs. – RB10
I will admit, I am lower on Spiller than a lot of people. However, Spiller is slow. He ran a 4.63. That is not going to do it for me, and it should not do it for you. I think Spiller does play a little, but in the classic Chargers backup role. You need Ekeler to get hurt, and that does not guaranty that whoever is the backup X week will be the backup the following week.
3.05 – Malik Willis – QB – Tennessee Titans – 6’1 – 225 lbs. – QB3
Everyone loves this part of the draft. Everyone is off the board and now you are just hoping and praying that you get something. These rounds are likely guys that you will have to stash anyways. Why not take the chance on Malik Willis. Malik is very athletic. Malik could be the dual threat QB that you need to win fantasy weeks. If Mallik is not that guy, then he’s just a bad stash.
3.06 – Greg Dulcich – TE – Denver Broncos – 6’4 – 245 lbs. – TE2
Noah Fant is gone. It is just big Al. If the Broncos were set with Big Al they would not have used a third on a TE. This move could be to help Russ cook, it could be to help Javonte and Mel, it could be a little of both. With the way the league works if you hit on a nice young TE then you will have a competitive edge on everyone else. Or, you will at least look like you do, then you can trade immediately.
3.07 – Khalil Shakir – WR – Buffalo Bills – 6’0 – 190 lbs. – WR18
Not the greatest of landing spots but definitely in the mix. Diggs is a lock. Now let’s look at the remaining guys. Gabe Davis, Crowder, Isaiah McKenzie, Touchdown Jesus, Tavon Austin, and Khalil Shakir. Will Shakir be a lock for the starting job? No, but he’s got a great chance at being the WR2/3 next year. McKenzie has an out after this year and Gabe Davis has two years left on his deal. Shakir has a great outlook for 2 to 3 years out on a team that has the Tall Josh Allen.
3.08 – Romeo Doubs – WR – Green Bay Packers – 6’2 – 204 lbs. – WR19
Doubs is one of the trickier third rounders. He has potential with Aaron Rodgers, but he could lose Rodgers. He is also in a weird spot on the depth chart. But if he can make the roster, if he can make it two years, then year 3, Doubs could actually have some production. Christian Watson also has been dropping the ball a TON (for OTAs), maybe Doubs gets the nod.
3.09 – Jelani Woods – TE – Indianapolis Colts – 6’7 – 275 lbs. – TE3
I mean wow. Woods it a huge man. Woods was a third round TE pick, he has the draft capital to see the field. Can you imagine trying to tackle this man? Woods has to have his own RedZone package, I think he’s worth the pick just to talk about.
3.10 – Kyren Williams – RB – Los Angeles Rams – 5’9 – 198 lbs. – RB11
Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson and then big bad Kyren Williams. The Rams run their backs into the ground. Williams will likely get into the mix at some point. Williams just has to wait out Darrell Henderson. Hendy is on the last year of his deal, Williams just needs to show promise to be the Rams RB2.
3.11 – Keaontay Ingram – RB – Arizona Cardinals – 6’0 – 221 lbs. – RB12
The Cardinals are an interesting team. James Conner was a dude last year, but he’s done this before. He might be a flash in the pan, but for TDG let’s hope he has another good year. RBs have a short shelf life, Darrel Williams is a backup, Eno Benjamin has been nothing. This gives Keaontay Ingram a chance. A chance in the late third is all you can ask.
3.12 – Pierre Strong Jr. – RB – New England Patriots – 5’11 – 205 lbs. – RB13
The Pats took two RBs. Something ain’t adding up in Clam Chowder town. I do not know why I said that. Pierre has a Strong chance to be in the mix with Stevenson in Strong’s year two. Damien Harris is going to be gone, James White is eventually going to retire. Someone from this New England backfield has to be something.
3.13 – Erik Ezukanma – WR – Miami Dolphins – 6’3 – 220 lbs. – WR20
This is crazy right. Erik is on a depth chart with Waddle, Hill, and Cedric Wilson. Cedric has a three year deal, he has an out in two years. Hill and Waddle are not going anywhere. Maybe he works his way in as the third guy. All you can hope for.
4.01 – Calvin Austin III – WR – Pittsburgh Steelers – 5’9 – 162 lbs. – WR21
Calvin Austin is a fourth round pick. That is the best thing that you will get here in the draft. We have 25 picks left and not a whole lot of options.
4.02 – Matt Corral – QB – Carolina Panthers – 6’2 – 205 lbs. – QB4
This is the default for this late in the draft. Corral has a shot if he gets the nod, I cannot remember the name but an NFL analyst said that the Panthers have a top 5 skill position group.
4.03 – Jerome Ford – RB – Cleveland Browns – 5’10 – 210 lbs. – RB14
Chubb and Hunt are not young bucks. Both are 26 years old. He was a fifth round pick, maybe he gets a chance if there is an injury.
4.04 – Snoop Conner – RB – Jacksonville Jaguars – 5’10 – 220 lbs. – RB15
Name alone. Doug Peterson’s draft pick. James Rob is coming off an achillies injury. Travis Etienne is coming off of an injury as well. Snoop is the only healthy guy. With Snoop’s size he has a decent shot at being the one-two punch for the Jags with Etienne.
4.05 – Kevin Harris – RB – New England Patriots – 5’10 – 220 lbs. – RB16
Damien Harris is replaced with Kevin Harris. The Pats drafted RBs for a reason. Pats don’t mess around with paying RBs. Damien Harris is gone after this year. Bill must not love Rhamondre. Pats have James White too. There is no certainty in the Pats RB room. This addition only adds to that.
4.06– Kyle Philips – WR – Tennessee Titans – 5’11 – 191 lbs. – WR22
Titans depth chart is pretty thin. Titans got rid of A.J. Brown, they drafted Malik Willis. Everything is pointing up to a Titans rebuild if things do not work out this year. Philips has competition but it is not unbelievable to think he will beat out Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for the WR3 spot.
4.07 – Justyn Ross – WR – Kansas City Chiefs – 6’4 – 205 lbs. – WR23
Ross was undrafted. He has an uphill battle to make the roster. But if he does. Juju is on a one-year. Hardman is in the last year of his deal. All you are left with is MVS, who has two years, Skyy Moore who is small, and Cornell Powell who was a fifth rounder. Ross is a monster compared to these guys. At pick 45, this is a steal.
4.08 – Ty Chandler – RB – Minnesota Vikings – 6’0 – 210 lbs. – RB17
Here on we are just trying to grab guys from teams that are good or their current starter receives a lot of volume. If Chandler ever gets Cooks or Mattison opportunity, badabing badaboom, AMIRITE?
4.09 – Bo Melton – WR – Seattle Seahawks – 5’11 – 195 lbs. – WR24
He is a 7th round pick, maybe DK and Lockett get traded, then he would still be a backup.
4.10 – Brittain Brown – RB – Las Vegas Raiders – 6’1 – 205 lbs. – RB18
Josh Jacobs 5th year option was not picked up, Kenyan Drake is old, and maybe this is a Elijah Mitchell situation.
4.11 – Mike Woods – WR – Cleveland Browns – 6’1 – 204 lbs. – WR25
Woods was a 6th rounder. Browns added a lot of WRs, and they will not have a QB this year, maybe next year, maybe year after that. In 4 years Mike Woods could be the guy.
4.12 – Isaiah Weston – WR – Cleveland Browns – 6’4 – 214 lbs. – WR26
Undrafted but 6’4.
4.13 – Jalen Nailor – WR – Minnesota Vikings – 6’0 – 190 lbs. – WR27
Vikings need a replacement for Thielen some. Jalen Nailor the Sailor’s nickname is Speedy. It should have something sail boat related, because the Vikings,
5.01 – Sam Howell – QB – Washington Commanders – 6’1 – 220 lbs. – QB5
Maybe Howell is able to start and then this is a steal. We are at the point in the draft where we have no other choice, we are running out of rookies that were drafted. Howell was drafted.
5.02 – Tyler Goodson – RB – Green Bay Packers – 5’10 – 200 lbs. – RB19
Goodson was a good running back at Iowa. Aaron Jones might be in his last year at GB. If that is true then Goodson can be in the mix of RB2 for GB down the road. Plus it looks like LaFleur is mixing in RBs because he has no WRs.
5.03 – Cade Otton – TE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 6’5 – 250 lbs. – TE5
Bucs will need a TE once Brady and Gronk retire. Using a 4th round pick on a TE is a valuable draft pick. I think it’s worth noting going forward.
5.04 – Jerrion Ealy – RB – Kansas City Chiefs – 5’9 – 200 lbs. – RB20
Burried on the depth chart, but he is a RB/WR. I think the gadget guy could end up on the team.
5.05 – Kennedy Brooks – RB – Philadelphia Eagles – 5’11 – 215 lbs. – RB21
Eagles have a pile of RBs, but this guy ran for 1,000 yards 3 times in college. Undrafted, but the Eagles must have issues with their RB room. Miles Sanders should receive all the carries, but that has not been their offense lately.
5.06 – Samori Toure – WR – Green Bay Packers – 6’1 – 192 lbs. – WR28
Lazard is likely gone after this year, we do not know what Rodgers will do. Toure will compete with Doubs for snaps. Either guy could make their way onto the field, or both could never see the field. Round 5 people.
5.07 – D’Vonte Price – RB – Indianapolis Colts – 6’1 – 210 lbs. – RB22
Price gets the nod here because he has bad vets infront of him in Mack and Lindsay. He is also from a small school, so maybe he has more drive to survive. Price is one of the best players in FIU history, maybe it works out in the NFL.
5.08 – Dareke Young – WR – Seattle Seahawks – 6’2 – 224 lbs. – WR29
He is the only remaining WR from the draft. He is the last WR taken in this rookie draft.
5.09 – Tyler Badie – RB – Baltimore Ravens – 5’8 – 197 lbs. – RB23
A small RB, but could be a badie. Ravens have all their RBs returning from knee injuries, maybe Badie is in the mix.
5.10 – Trestan Ebner – RB – Chicago Bears – 5’11 – 206 lbs. – RB24
Ebner was drafted and has a legit shot at the RB3 spot. That’s all you can ask this late in the draft.
5.11 – Jeremy Ruckert – TE – New York Jets – 6’5 – 252 lbs. TE6
Ruckert is buried on the depth chart, but he was drafted pretty high for tight ends. Jets could have done anything, they used a 3rd on a tight end. Jets need help everywhere, they went TE early.
5.12 – Jake Ferguson – TE – Dallas Cowboys – 6’5 – 244 lbs. – TE7
Cowboys love Tight Ends. Jake Ferguson loves making plays. Match made in heaven and the perfect Mr. Irrelevant.
Now lets look at the top five Free Agents available in the Pot Cakes Dynasty League.
Top 5 Available Free Agents
1. Matt Ryan – QB – Indianapolis Colts
Matty Ice is primed for a bounce back year. He is on a good team, he has a great run game, he just is missing WR weapons. Matty Ice should make up for the lack of WR talent, but he is most intriguing option as a week to week option for a dynasty league. If you have a young unproven QB, Matty Ice would be a good stash.
2. Marlon Mack/Rex Burkhead – RB – Houston Texans
Dameon Pierce is the answer here for the back half of the season, but those first 8 weeks are up for grabs. Mack is coming off a knee injury and Burkhead is old. Someone has to get the ball in Houston, or maybe too many people do again. These guys are worth the emergency stash/
3. Olamide Zaccheaus – WR – Atlanta Falcons
Olamide is the only returning Falcons starter. That does not carry much weight. All Olamide has over rookie Drake London and former Raider Bryan Edwards is one extra year with the head coach. But with the WR1 spot up for grabs, taking a shot on Olamide is not the worst.
4. David Njoku – TE – Cleveland Browns
The Browns love paying people. Njoku got a big deal, so he has to be some part of the offense going forward. Who will be the QB? Maybe Njoku for the money they are paying him.
5. Austin Hooper – TE – Tennessee Titans
Titans need to throw the ball to somebody. Robert Woods, Treylon Burks, and Austin Hooper are the three. Hooper gets a new start and second chance at showing us if he can relive his Atlanta glory. The Browns are a bad franchise, Hooper can control whether or not he can be a fantasy franchise player.
Well that does it for the rankings. Best of luck in your upcoming drafts. Hopefully your league has a trophy, our Commissioner is worse than Mike Trout and way less athletic. That’s not really a dig at our Commish, Trout is super athletic. Our commissioner is somewhere between as athletic as Mike Trout and an actual trout. We may dive into some general rankings, trade targets, etc. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow. The Pot Cakes Dynasty League Rookie draft is currently loosely scheduled for the end of the month. We may have draft grades next, plenty of content to be had, plenty of trades too!?!
Let’s Go!
