Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 1 Recap. What a week of football. We started off with a lot of points. Sunday was dull to start. But we got through the first week and boy was it exciting. We will look at our games, starting with the game of the week, look at Dr. Tilt (or don’t it was bad, as bad as it gets), and finish with some power rankings.
Game of the week.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. PeePaw
Everything looked great for TDG. Josh Allen was 43 feet tall. Cooper Kupp was the only guy on the Rams with 25. Oh, TDG made a trade sending Amon-Ra St. Brown and Saquon Barkley to CrossFit to CrossFit for Cooper Kupp. James Conner had little yards but is a TD machine with 14 on the week. Gibby surprised everyone with a sweet 16. The bad for TDG was Robert Woods only getting 2 points and his Titan counterpart D-Train had 8. Jacobs added 8 as well, Thielen had 5, and the Kittle sub Mo Allie-Cox had 3. PeePaw said it is better to chase than be chased, turns out he was right. Herbert had 35, Dalvin Cook had 12, and Isaiah McKenzie had 9. Those were the filler guys. Davante Adams had 25, Michael Thomas had 20, and Justin Jefferson added 35 points. TDG had Mike Evans going into the Sunday night game but he came up short. Evans had 16. PeePaw’s finish is what did it. This may be PeePaw’s first win against TDG in a game of the week, but it could not be a better way to start the season. PeePaw wins 169.85 to 153.95.

v.

CrossFit v. Pistol
CrossFit was in a tighter game than he would have liked to be. The QB concerns are bad. CrossFit went with Dak and it was not good for 7.2 points. CrossFit now suffers the loss of Dak which at least forces him to make a QB decision of TB12 going forward. CMC found the endzone for 13, Ekeler had 9, and Saquon led the backfield with 30. CrossFit also had solid WR production from Robbie Anderson and Amon-Ra St. Brown combined for 34. Travis Kelce is still that dude adding 22. Pistol did not want it this week and got just that. Kyler had a late hurrah for 29. Hines and Michael Carter combined for 25. A.J. Brown had 21. For whatever reason the Giants gave Kadarius Toney two touched for 23 yards and that was it. CrossFit won this one 144.2 to 105.05.

v.

Trashman v. Mush’s Mongrels
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, but here, it was all trash. Trashman had Cordarrelle Patterson with 21 and Nick Chubb with 15. Juice and Curty Sam added 30. That’s about it. Cam Akers in the start and 0 points is a huge concern. Allen Robinson 1 catch 12 yards is a huge concern. Having to start Kenny Golladay is a huge concern. If Trashman is not worried about his team, he should be. Mush has his own problems. Stafford looks bad with 15. Clyde Frog put up a monster game with 21. Hollywood had a late score to save his week ending with 12. Deebo added 12 too. Mush entered Monday night down 25 points and having the Broncos backfield. This interesting play ended with 20 points. Mush is upset by Trashman 111.25 to 106.6.

v.

Teach v. Bottom Bunk
Teach was on a field trip with this rollercoaster week. Mixon 18, Hill 14, and Waddle 16. Trey Lance 13, Rhomandre Stevenson 4, Higgins 4 (injury), Hockenson 6, and Marvin Jones Jr. 6. His kicker saved him in week 1 which was uncommon for NFL teams this week. Succop had 15. Bottom Bunk proves each year it can get worse. Jamaal Williams and Christian Kirk were his only highlights combining for 31. Drake London does seem promising with 10 points in his debut. On the other side, George Pickens looked bad with 1 point. Bottom Bunk also left Jalen Tolbert in the WR slot for the Sunday night game, Tolbert was out for game 1. So B.B. went bottom shelf and scooped a guy off waivers. It was not enough. If anything Teach’s game taught everyone a lesson, its to keep your roster flexible. Bottom Bunk did not. Teach wins 103.6 to 98.3. B.B. is the first to miss the 100 point mark.

v.

Batman v. Bruce
Batman loves the underdog and hates chalk picks. Batman had some solid performances. Lamar with 30, A.J. Dillon with 18, and Swift with 25. He also had some bad performances. DeVonta Smith had 0 points. Elijah Mitchell got hurt after 4 points. David Njoku had 1 point. When you go up against the defending worst to second first team, you need a little more firepower than that. Bruce had 1 explosive guy with Jonathan Taylor adding 26 points. The rest of his team was just ok. Najee had 10, Fournette had 15, Bateman had 13, and Tyler Boyd had 11. Bruce’s depth with Chris Godwin on his bench may have took a hit as Godwin tweaked something Sunday night. Bruce still wins 130.8 to 118.55.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Daddy Wombat
Bark, bark. That’s what a lot of teams did coming at JD3 all off-season. There is only one team barking now, at that’s JD3, the lead dog. JD3 was a Keenan Allen hamstring tweak away from 2-hundo. Mahomes 52, Sanders 18, Diggs and Pittman 22 each, Chase 24, Cooks 12, McLaurin and Everett with 13 each, AND JD3 had Kareem Hunt on the bench with 21. JD3’s concerns remain the same, will he have consistent TE and RB2 play. We don’t know, but right now things are looking good. D.W. had the Jags actual RB1 with James Rob having 19. Gabe Davis added 17 and Hurts had 29. Jerry Jeudy lit it up for 18 points. The big surprises were Kamara only having 6 points and Cole Kmet having 0. D.W. showed flashes but it was not enough. JD3 housed this one 198.2 to 113.05.
Dr. Tilt got his license renewed (well maybe not).

Dr. Tilt’s Week 1 Recap
Tilt is in a bad spot. He opened with nothing. This is the type of week where you lose patients. Missing two picks by double digits is not a good look
Bills @ Rams +2.5
Nope.
Chiefs @ Cardinals +6
Nope.
Giants @ Titans -5.5
Nope.
Dr. Tilt Week 1 0-3; Season 0-3.
Let’s get into the Power Rankings

Not a lot to talk about with these Power Rankings. TDG still comes in at 3 despite the loss, he put up a ton of points. Batman looked solid in a loss. Teach barely beat B.B. so that is why he is so low and B.B. is obviously the worst team in the league.
Week 1 is in the books. We will see you soon with the Week 2 Preview and hopefully something better out of Dr. Tilt. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow. It’s never to early to start positioning for playoffs and next week we have just that.
Let’s Go!
