Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 2 Recap. Before we get into things, I have an announcement. We hit 100 posts. Thank you for tagging along on this journey. We are early into the season but we have a good shake up this week with a lot of injuries, who made it through the week. We had some guys really take off this week. Fun stuff. Let’s get into it, the game of the week, matchups, Dr. Tilt, and our NEW Power Rankings.
Game of the week.

v.

Batman v. Pistol
Batman has big truss in his QB. Lamar took a deep shot and even ran one on his own. Lamar put up 54 points (in a loss). Eno was a good spot start with the James Conner injury getting 8. Olave same added 8.5. D’Andre Swift is incredible with 16, but keeps going on a big run and losing the TD to Jamaal Williams. Jakobi Meyers added 14 and Jahon Dotson added 16. Darren Waller is staying at the top of the TE charts with 14. Batman put up a good week, but would it be enough. Pistol had a good week with Kyler and 34, Sutton went for 16, and Garrett Wilson decided to go off for 26. The issue for Pistol was losing the QB battle due to how good Lamar was and Kyle Pitts only adding 3. Batman wins this one 158.4 to 129.45.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Daddy Wombat
Mush won this matchup due to bad management by Daddy Wombat. However, Mush made an absolute bone-head play. He started both Chargers WRs without Keenan going this week. BUT he put Josh Palmer in one of the flex spots. Yikes, burning a Thursday night flex. That is unforgivable. Wentz 40, Clyde 14, Hendy 11, Mike Williams 21, Diontate 11, Deebo 12, and Palmers 13. Daddy Wombat started both Kamara and Gabe Davis who didn’t play. The one highlight was Jalen Hurts for 41. Mush wins 153.35 to 95.35. What a schedule for the Commish to open with.

v.

Bruce v. Bottom Bunk
There is nothing more embarrassing than losing to B.B. Bruce is embarrassed for a whole week. Bruce has nothing going for him from Zeke who had 5, JT only added 7, D.J. Chark had 0, and his only good play was Rashod Bateman for 19. Bottom Bunk had a good week. Tua had 59, Breece had 13, Watkins had 11, Christian Kirk had 23, and Drake London had 21. This is a promising look for B.B. long term. His young guys are putting up great numbers. London is legit and Christian Kirk might be underpaid. B.B. wins (and was top dog) 166.85 to 116.15.

v.

Trashman v. PeePaw
Two running backs had monster weeks and they are team Trashman members. Aaron Jones and Chubb had 31 each. That was the deciding factor. A-Rob might play this year with a bounce back game of 13. Curty Sam had 19 and Mark Andrews had 21. Trashman had some top end guys and when you do that you have a good shot at winning a week. PeePaw did not have anyone that boomed this week. Mikey T looked great for 16 and CeeDee Lamb had 12. Jeff Wilson and Monty combined for 25. The game was out of reach but PeePaw had good showings from Dalvin and Justin Jefferson combining for only 14. Trashman wins 161.13 to 132.3.

v.

CrossFit v. Teach
CrossFit had a solid week everywhere but his QB position. Brady struggled for 15, CMC, Ekeler, and Saquon combined for 39 points. We turn to his WRs who had great weeks was well. Amari Cooper had 21, Lockett had 15, and Amon-Ra St. Brown added 35 points. The problem for CrossFit is that he went up against the Dolphins WRs. Waddle and Hill combined for 61 points. Tony Pollard added 18 and Tee Higgins had 16. Teach also won the kicker matchup 10-0. To quote an old rock bank “Ow! Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad, I’m hot for teacher, I’ve got it bad, so bad, I’m hot for Teacher.” Teach wins 163.9 to 140.4.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons
TDG needed this one bad. Cooper Kupp added 26 points. The rest of TDG was so so. Gibby had 11 but it would come down to Monday Night. Monday Night TDG had Allen, Henry, Woods, and Thielen all going. JD3 had guys going Monday night too, with Sanders, Sing, and Diggs. Before we get to Monday Night, JDG only had McLaurin and Everett add 10 a piece. The injuries of Keenan Allen and Michael Pittman hurt. Let’s look at Monday Night. TDG had Josh Allen go for 43, but the problem was the vast majority went to Stefon Diggs with 39. Miles outscored Henry 10 to 9, Thielen had 7 for TDG, Sing 3 for JD3, and TDG kicker only had 1. JD3 sneaks one out wins 133.45 to 130.65.

Now for the updated Power Rankings.

As for the Power Rankings, good teams remain at the top. Undefeated teams and teams with the most points for. Also, Bottom Bunk has his highest ranking of the season after a big win. The league definitely took notice and the rankings reflect that. A new team missed 100 points and is at the bottom.
Tomorrow, or Thursday, will be a quick write up. We got an event for the local youths and there will not be a lot of time to get a preview put together, but there will be one. Things are heating up, there are only 3 undefeateds left and we will see if they stay that way. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
