Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 3 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 3 Recap. What a miserable weekend of football. Not a ton of big names going off, some flyers had big weeks, some injuries, and a whole lot of headaches this weekend. A win is a win. Let’s look at possibly the worst game of the week, matchups, Dr. Tilt, and a brand new power rankings. The Power Rankings are in shambles.

Game of the Week

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

Disgusting game of the week. Both managers should be sick. One more than the other. One manager somehow gets the worst out of the other managers week after week. A normal guy wouldn’t be able to sleep. Mush got a dozen a piece from Clyde Frog and Diontae Johnson. Deebo put him over the edge with 10. Hollywood Brown would be the star of the matchup with 21. JD3 got 11 from Digg and Pittman, and a 13 from McLaurin. Back to back weeks for JD3 to get the WR points off of the other teams QB. It was not enough. JD3 left too many points on the board with some close plays. Left points on the bench with Sing, who (whom?) I hear is available. Mush got the worse “coach rating” on the app but got the win. I will trust the app and know Mush is worse than JD3. Mush wins 102.75 to 98.8.

v.

CrossFit v. Batman

CrossFit started Joe Flacco over Tom Brady. This is an all-time bad move. CrossFit had Amari Cooper put up 20, Lockett with 12, and St. Brown got 10 and banged up. CrossFit added two sweet sixteens from Duvernay and Kelce. Batman continues to get top end production and then nothing. Lamar had 51, Devonta Smith had 28, Olave had 19, and Juju added 11. It would all come down to a photo finish. CrossFit needed a big night out of Saquon but came up a little short. Saquon had 21. Batman loves edging this one out 139 to 138.05.

v.

Bruce v. Teach

Bruce needs to do some self-reflecting. His team looks bad. It looks bad in the starting lineup and worse on the bench. Burrow had a solid week with 34, Najee added 12, and JT had 11. D.J. Moore in a revenge game had 2. Not great. Teach took Bruce to school to remain undefeated. Rhomandre put up 18, the real RB1 for New England, Pollard put up 11, the real RB1 for Dallas (sure Zeke had 14 but with a fluke TD), Higgins had 12, more than Boyd’s points count on Bruce’s bench, Waddle with 13, and Romeo Dobbs added a juicy 17 points. Teach wins 125.65 to 102.35. Teach remains unbeaten and Bruce is DOWN BAD.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. PeePaw

Daddy Wombat is limited in who they can start. They started all the right guys. Hurts looks great with 39, James Rob with 19, Dameon Pierce with 17, and D.K. with 15. PeePaw had a bad week. Dalvin had 14, Jeff Wil had 10, Aiyuk had 11 and so did Davante. The injury of Monty early in the game really hindered PeePaw’s chances this week. PeePaw needed a miracle with the Cooper Rush and CeeDee connection. Monday night was a rush, but the lamb needed a little more time in the oven. Ceedee ended with 19, but Daddy Wombat does the unthinkable and wins 129.7 to 113.4.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Trashman

TDG had a 0.5 point lead entering Monday night. How did we get here? Pretty much a wash at a lot of spots. At QB the Tall Josh Allen and 39 and Trevor Lawrence with 37. At RB Derrick Henry with 23 and Cordarrelle with 22. TDG had Gibby, Conner, and Jacobs tally 30. Trashman had Aaron Jones, Chubb, and Penny combine for 28. The big split is the WRs for TDG showed out and the TE for Trashman did. Kupp, Woods, and Thielen had 41. Trashman and Andrews had 25. Add in the rest of the bunch and it’s a 0.5 entering Monday night. TDG has the flexibility to pull Gallup for Noah Brown and Trashman has Richie James. I came down to the very last drive but Daniel Jones finally missed (he missed a lot but like this time it was a WR slip and cost them the game and people fantasy games). Brown had 8 and James had 6. TDG sneaks one out for his first win 150.4 to 148.1. Leaving only Teach as the sole unbeaten team. Let us not overlook this win for TDG, he ends the week as lead dog.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Pistol

Potential positioning for a top pick. One team wanted to win, the other did not. The problem, neither team got what they wanted. Jamaal Williams added 24 for B.B. Breece put up 12, Chase Edmonds had 15, Christian Kirk had 16, and Drake London added a baker’s dozen. You cannot leave out Godert who added 10. Pistol match with Pitts and 11. Kahlil Herbert added a massive 30 burger. Sutton with 14, Lazard with 13, and A.J. Brown added 17. Pistol unfortunately gets the win 141.8 to 134.7. Pistol, D.W., and TDG all win, everyone has a win this year.

Dr. Tilt Week  Picks.

Dr. Tilt’s Week 3 Prescription

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings -5.5

Nope.

Atlanta Falcons +2 @ Seattle Seahawks

Bang!

Bengals -5.5 @ New York Jets

Bang!

Dr. Tilt’s Week 3 Record (2-1) Overall Record (4-5)

Now for the Power Rankings.

Under 100 you last. Bruce barely got over that mark. TDG is the lead dog in points and is heating up. Bottom Bunk had a solid week. Lots of movement, which is the perfect set up for more movement next week.

What a week. Hopefully we see higher scores next week. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
