Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 8 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 8 Recap. We got a week full of blowouts and one upset. It was a good week to be a favorite unless you got a birthday week. We take a dive into our game of the week, matchups and Dr. Tilt with his bonus pick.

Game of the week.

v.

CrossFit v. Mush’s Mongrels

CrossFit holds the record for most points (I think). So we all know that he can put up big numbies. TB12 got the start and put up 25 with Dak’s 34 on the bench. We still have a QB issue for CrossFit. CMC, more for me, put up a monster 39 points. Devin Duvernay and Amari Cooper put up a 20 piece each. Saquon put up 14 and pop drop and Lockett had himself 13. Ertz put up a cool 11 and Am-Ron St. Brown is back with a healthy 10. Mush had some byes and injuries, but it would not matter this week. Mush’s team is decent, but he needs his A-game for a matchup like this. He just dropped the ball. Mush started some guy named Keaontay Ingram who put up 0 points. D-Hendy had 4 points and was outscored by an undrafted free agent Ronnie Davis. Kenny Walker had 12 and Mel Gordon put up 13. Mel may have issues as Chase Edmonds just got thrown in the mix for Bronocs Country. CrossFit gets a win and is in peek form, 177.95 to 112.3.

v.

Bruce v. Daddy Wombat

Bruce suffered an early loss on Thursday night setting up his demise. Bruce got nothing from Bateman. Renfrow put up 1. Those do not help. D.J. Moore put up 25, Fournette had 13, Boyd had 11 and so did Godwin, last but not least Evan Engram put up 14. JT and no Zeke, bad bad time for Bruce this week just when he thought he was back, he’s not. Daddy Wombat is not known for points, I mean sometime he doesn’t even hit 100. D.W. has Hurts with 41 points, Alvin Kamara put up 38, and D-Hop had 28. I mean my goodness. Big week from those three, now add in solid performances by Metcalf and Jeudy putting up 30 total. Claypool and Pierce put up 26 total too. D.W. started Trautman again, Trautman was ruled out the last two weeks. I do not know what D.W. is doing, but it worked this week. D.W. wins 175.6 to 114.2.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. PeePaw

My prediction was “I think PeePaw doubles up B.B.” Well it happened. B.B. stinks out loud. Jamaal Williams is a TD vulture and put up 21. Pickens picked up nothing this week. I mean this lineup is so bad just trust me on it, you do not want to hear who he’s playing (Burkhead, McKissic, Edmonds, Skowronek, Watkins). PeePaw put up big points. D’Onta Foreman, part of the 3-headed Panthers backfield, put up 32 points, Cook had an MJ, Aiyuk put up 17, Lamb had 16, and J.J. put up 13. Davante Adams only had 0.7 points, so this matchup could have been uglier if the Raiders were capable of playing football (kinda like B.B.) PeePAw wins 159.8 to 78.65.

v.

Teach v. Trashman

We had a new high score watch and Teach came up short, about the only thing he missed on this weekend. Teach’s triple stack put up 96 points, Tua, Hill, and Waddle. Rhamondre put up 18, Higgins had 12, and Latavius Murray had 12 too. I mean sheesh. Talk about a lecture. Trashman has Trevor Lawrence playing QB, that’s fun. Nick Chubb put up 25 points, Aaron Jones had 18, and Tyler Allgeier had 16. Let’s not leave out Terrance Marshall who had 11 points. Trashman started Jarvis Landry who was out this week. If Trashman reads this, maybe, check your lineups once and awhile. Teach took Trashman to school 206.7 to 119.15.

v.

Batman v. Touchdown Guy

Batman had a good week from Lamar with 31. Then he only had 2 other guys show up. Swift had 12 and Jakobi Meyers had 17. Batman has a lot to look forward to, his bench scored 0 points. His taxi on the other hand put up 2.5, on his taxi was starting QB Malik Willis. TDG needed to win this layup of a matchup. TDG go it done on the back of D-Train with 35 points. Cooper Kupp had 19, Evans had 15, and George Kittle had 11.

v.

Pistol v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s a Toure. When the world seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine, that’s a Toure. Pistol saw a lot of taxi points. Samori Toure put up 10 points and Isaiah Likely put up 17 points. Pistol was projected to lose by 30 and he outscored his projection by 40 points. Kyler put up 37 and so did A.J. Brown. Pitts had a good week with 17, Herbert had 16, Garrett Wilson had 15 points, and lastly Nyheim Hines had 12. I mean everyone had points. What are the chances? JD3 scored points too. Mahomes was on bye and that hurt big time. Travis Etienne put up 24 points, Diggs had 20, McLaurin and Sanders combined for 28. Everyone else (but Cade Otton) sniffed double digits. It was a solid week, top half in points, but Pistol wins 154.1 to 143.45.
