Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Preview. This week we have potential to eliminate some teams from the playoffs. A Trashman or Pistol win eliminates Batman and Daddy Wombat. A Trashman or Pistol win and loss from Bottom Bunk or Bruce or Mush ends their playoff run. They are all fighting for the last playoff spot, who cares, we got better games to talk about and none are better than the Game of the Week, we also get into Dr. Tilt and Power Rankings.

Game of the Week

v.

Teach v. CrossFit

This is a must win for CrossFit to keep alive his bye week chances. Teach has a 2 game lead and a win by CrossFit makes it a 1 game lead (math). CrossFit has the points. Speaking of points, Teach has been relying on the trio of Tua, Waddle, and Hill. It will be a tough matchup with San Fran and Hill is a little banged up. Mixon could be back and is essential to add to Teach’s non-Tua points. Higgins may lose production with Chase potentially coming back. The Hockenson trade is working out for Teach like we all thought it would. The concerns are Murray and Burks. The locks are Rhamondre without Harris and Pollard even with Zeke, Pollard had 18 touches last week. It’s a mixed bag. They need to meet their mark to compete with the high-powered offense of CrossFit. CrossFit is praying that Fields is healthy. After watching Jalen Hurts tear up the Packers defense on Sunday night, he is hoping Fields can do it during the day. CMC, Barkley, and Ekeler are phenomenal RBs. Kelce is a monster. CrossFit needs a burst from one of his WRs, whether that is Amari Cooper, Lockett or St. Brown it does not matter, CrossFit just needs the points. CrossFit is a 5 point favorite and I think he keeps his hopes alive and gets the win this week.

v.

PeePaw v. Trashman

Trashman more than likely needs a win to get in. The odds are against him. PeePaw is a force. PeePaw has Herbert, Cook, Jeff Willy, Monty, Lamb, Aiyuk, Jefferson, and Davante. I mean sheesh. Try beating that stacked lineup. PeePaw needs this win to set up a potential Win to get the bye situation. PeePaw is only 21 points out of first in his division. Pair that with a matchup with JD3 next weekend and it could be for the #1 spot in the division. Trashman is fighting for something else. He’s fighting for his shot at the offs. Danny Dimes, Aaron Jones, Pacheco, Chubb, Patterson, Christian Watson, and Mark Andrews. Trashman needs his guys to have the big time performances that they have had in the past. I mean he needs multi TD performances from all of them. I expect PeePaw to be a 30 point favorite come kickoff, and I don’t see a reason for him to lose.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Touchdown Guy

If I could pick a game of the week I would have picked this one, but it’s out of my hands. This matchup sets up a potential division championship game for next week. That would require JD3 to win. We will see. JD3 has a 3 point lead but that won’t matter much, this is a must win for both teams. JD3 has Mahomes, TDG has the Tall Josh Allen at QB. JD3’s only reliable RB is Miles Sanders this week. TDG’s only reliable RB is Derrick Henry. We got questions in two other spots. JD3 has Etienne and Sing as question marks. TDG has Gibby, B-Rob, and Josh Jacobs as question marks. Etienne and Jacobs are dinged up. Sing is going up against the best fantasy run defense this year and B-Rob and Gibby share a backfield. For TEs we have big Ev and Kittle. Both have been down lately but I think the edge for consistency has to go to Kittle. WR we got some names. JD3 has Keenan going head to head with TDG’s Mike Evans. Revenge game for both. Diggs, McLaurin, Chase, and Pittman round out JD3’s receiving core and hopefully Chase is good to go. TDG has Woods, Thielen, and Cobb. Without question the edge goes to JD3 here. JD3 is only a 10 point advantage here. This one has too many question marks to tell who will get the win. Best of luck to both teams, one of these teams will be in the Championship game.

v.

Pistol v. Batman

Pistol needs a win to put himself into the playoffs. Or Pistol needs to lose to get a better pick. He is in a pinch. Batman needs to lose to get that #1 pick. This is going to be a battle to see who scores the least amount of points. Batman is going to be about a 12 point favorite in this one. Why? Well he has Lamar, Swift, Olave, and Juju. Pistol has Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard. The head to head matchup that can flip this game is Pistol’s A.J. Brown against Batman’s Devonta Smith. I think the winner of that matchup wins the week. We will see.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Mush’s Mongrels

Well this one is a snoozer. These two teams stink. D.W. at least was able to position themselves for success next year with adding an extra first round pick. Mush was too greedy and will need to make a move in the offseason to get an extra pick cus he needs help. D.W. has Hurts, Kamara, Pierce, Metcalf, Gabe Davis, and Claypool. Mush has Diontae Johnson, Deebo, Palmer, and Kenny Walker. Mush is a 6 point favorite. Both teams are projected under 120 points. I mean my goodness. These guys are on 100 point watch. I am rooting for under 100 points in this matchup and a tie.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Bruce

Bruce might sneak into the playoffs and he has the matchup this week to help his case. B.B. has no one. Bruce has J.T., Najee, and Godwin. Bruce is a 40 point favorite. Bruce wins big.

Dr. Tilt’s Week 13 Prescription

Buffalo Bills -3.5 @ New England Patriots

This line opened at Bills -6.5 but has quickly been bet down a full 3 points.  This is a classic market overreaction due to the games on Thanksgiving.  Everyone watched the Bills almost lose to the Lions in Detroit and watched the Patriots almost beat the 9-2 Vikings as the turkey and pecan pie was flowing.  This is the first time the Bills and Patriots have played this season but they have played this “year”.  Bills blew out the Patriots in their January playoff game 47-17.  Buffalo needs to keep pace with Miami and New England can’t match Buffalo’s offense, lay the 3.5.

Washington Commanders @ New York Giants u40.5

If the playoffs started today all 4 teams in the NFC BEAST would be in the playoffs.  Not sure a lot of people had that on their bingo card 13 weeks into the season.  This game will have a playoff feel as both of these teams jockey for a wild card sport.  Outdoor divisional games are hitting the under at 71%.  Insert that trend with these pretty pedestrian offenses and this game has under written all over it.

Miami Dolphins +4 @ San Francisco 49ers

Welcome to the Hype Train week 13 Super Bowl.  Everyone loves both teams and most of it is well deserved.  However, if you look under the hood one of these teams is not like the other.  The 49ers are being touted as maybe the team to beat in the NFC but have you looked at who they have actually beaten?  Let’s recap their 7 wins:  Rams twice, Seahawks, Cardinals, Saints, Panthers, Chargers.  For those keeping track at home, none of those are currently playoff teams.  On the other side of the ball, the Miami Dolphins haven’t lost a game Tua has started and have beaten…… Wait, this is too much analysis.  Mike McDaniel is cool and going back to San Fran for him will be cool.  Take the points.

Last Week: 2-2

Season: 19-19

And now for an all-new power rankings.

Not a lot of movement here. Bottom Bunk and Mush stink. Top 5 are in the playoffs. Trashman and Bruce are fighting for the playoffs.

Things are heating up just like Thanksgiving leftovers. We will see you next week to see who all is out of playoff contention. Until next time I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
