Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 7 Preview. We could have had an all time GOTW but one team did not want it bad enough or maybe they set up the perfect let down spot. We have our other matchups, Professor Pickum and an all-new Power Rankings. This week we could see more separation at the top and bottom of the rankings. We do not have much time to waste so let’s get to it.
Game of the week.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Touchdown Guy
We could have had a matchup for first place, but TDG did not want it bad enough. These two are familiar foes, they always end up in these big matchups. Both teams have stud QBs in Mahomes and the Tall Josh Allen. Mahomes has been mediocre this year and Allen is dinged up after last week. The big RB matchups are Etienne and Josh Jacobs. The bad RBs are Kareem Hunt and Antonio Gibson, for now unless one of these two spend up for the Craig Reynolds to try and get the win this week. Well that one person was TDG, spending $50 to get Reynolds and now Gibby is on the bench. The TE matchup is between two veteran TEs. JD3 had Logan Thomas and TDG is going with George Kittle, that should lean Kittle but he has had highs and lows this year where Logan has been a little more consistent albeit bad last week. Both TEs need to bounce back. The rest are WRs. The big guns are JD3’s 4 of Diggs, Allen, McLaurin and Pittman. TDG is rolling two WR duos in Kupp/Nacua and Evans/Godwin. The remaining miscellaneous WRs are Mooney and Moore for JD3 and Kendrick Bourne and Michael Wilson for TDG. Right now, TDG was less than a one point favorite before Reynolds, now he is a 2.5 point favorite. This one will go down to the wire and it will either be the QB matchup or a sneaky WR that gets it done.

v.

Bruce v. Batman
Bruce may or may not put out a legitimate lineup. We will see what his excuse is this week. Batman has Lamar, Swift, spot start Zach Evans, DeVonta Smit, Olave, Jakobi Meyers and possible spot start Elijah Mitchell. Batman should get the win and put himself in a better position for Playoff Contention. Bruce said that he did not like tanking for the fact that it may effect playoff implications, we will see if he is a man of his word or a coward. Bruce has been a coward thus far, so it is likely that the trend will continue.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. CrossFit
As of right now, CrossFit has Justin Fields in his lineup and is still a 45 point favorite in the matchup. B.B. has Bijan and Mattison (if we are forcing it). CrossFit will need to find a QB for this week. Other than that CrossFit has Mostert, CMC, Barkley, Ekeler, Cooper, Lockett, St. Brown and Kelce. What a lineup. CrossFit wins this one big and his team is going to make a push for the championship.

v.

Pistol v. Mush’s Mongrels
Pistol needs a win this week and he has found the perfect opponent. Pistol needs a bounce back from either Purdy or Love, whoever he rolls out there. Pistol has Kenny Walker, Javonte Williams, Gibbs, Sutton, A.J. Brown, Pitts, and Jayden Reed. Mush, I don’t know, will Mush put out a lineup, will it even matter? Mush has James Cook, Rachaad White, Josh Palmer, Mikey T, Christian Kirk and Hollywood Brown. This one should be pretty close to even come kickoff, I think Pistol gets it done because Mush will maneuver one or two players.

v.

Teach v. Daddy Wombat
Teach has the trio of Tua, Hill and Waddle. Teach also has B-Rob and Rhomandre. The final player in the mix for Teach is T.J. Hockenson who has been ok this year, which for TEs is great. D.W. has some top end talent. D.W. has Hurts, Kamara and Metcalf. Roschon Johnson should be back this week and will be crucial to D.W.’s success. The rest of D.W.’s team are a lot of players that show promise but are inconsistent, Jeudy, Gabe Davis and Josh Downs. Teach should be a 15 point favorite when we get down to it, we will see if he can hold of D.W. in a must win week. I think Teach gets it done.

v.

Trashman v. PeePaw
I am not sure what happened to PeePaw’s team, but it does not have the juice that it once did. Trashman is missing Chubb big time. Trashman has Pacheco and Mark Andrews, those are the big highlights. PeePaw has Herbert, Davante, Aiyuk and Ridley. PeePaw has the bigger names and should get the win. I am not sure why projections only have PeePaw as a 10 point favorite. I think the projections figure it out by kickoff and PeePaw gets it done.
That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

Professor Pickum has his Week 4 Study Guide.
Good morning class, we have the second chapter of Professor Pickum.
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay -2.5
- Hypothesis:
- I hate this pick…BUT it is so square it just might be sharp
- Atlanta has failed to cover a spread since Week 1… which means they’re due…. But not this week on the road vs a Tampa team looking to bounce back from a Lions beat down
Miami +3 @ Philadelphia
- Hypothesis:
- Good teams win and great teams cover
- With a 5-1 record and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 games, Miami just so happens to be a good great team
- For these reasons, The Professor has no choice but to ride Miami until the fins fall off
Detroit +3 @ Baltimore
- Hypothesis:
- Baltimore offense is struggling and has become 1 dimensional
- Detroit defense is too good for Lamar to beat on his own
- I like Detroit to take a lead early and choke Baltimore out in a slow and painful death
Professor Pickum is 8-2 overall and was 3-1 last week.
Now for the all new Power Rankings.

We got a little movement. The middle of the pack moved around. Nothing too crazy. We find the same team at the bottom, bad at winning, bad at losing, bad at drafting, bad at trading, all around bad guy.
That does it for this week. Exciting times are ahead. I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
