Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 4 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 4 Recap. We had some important games this week, little draft order shuffling for certain teams. On the other hand, some teams cannot catch a break. The playoff picture is not as clear as we thought it would be heading into the season. Let’s take a look at our matchups and how Professor Pickum responded to a previous perfect week.

Game of the week.

v.

Pistol v. Batman

This was a big matchup, Batman had won a lot of games in a row. Pistol has been constantly looking to get his team to be considered a contender. Pistol did not get any help from Kyler this week, so he had to rely on the backs he made moves for. Mason put up 23 and Moss had 16. Pistol’s own backs of Ford and Gibbs combined for 32. Jaylen Reed put up 24 and Sutton had a cool 14. The downfall of Pistol’s team was Pitts having 0 points. Batman saw 31 from Lamar, 20 from Hubbard, 18 from Kyren, 18 from Diontae, and 13 from Olave. The problem for Batman was too many players not putting up double digits. James Cook, Achane, and Quenton Johnston all were in the single digits. Now, I’m not sure what either team was doing, but Pistol sat Kenneth Walker who put up 21 and Batman sat D’Andre Swift who had 26. I get sitting Swift, but Walker probably should have been in the lineup. This move by Pistol did not cost him the week, as Pistol had a big statement win 134.5 to 122. Batman is no longer undefeated.

v.

Trashman v. Daddy Wombat

One of these teams needed to win. Trashman saw 21 from Jordan Addison, a promising young player. He also saw 13 from Rico Dowdle and 10 from Tutu Atwell. Trashman started Christian Watson and Mark Andrews who both put up 0 points. D.W. started Dare Ogunbowale who put up 13. What a start by D.W. probably one of a handful of managers across all platforms to start Dare. Josh Downs had 19, Worthy added 15, Metcalf had 11, and Jeudy even had 10. D.W. had the better players this week and edges out a win 106.9 to 75.95.

v.

Teach v. PeePaw

Teach is a shell of himself, PeePaw has players on paper. The QB matchup went to Teach with 31 from Geno to Caleb Williams’ 17. Teach had some solid RB production, B-Rob with 19, Pollard with 18, and Aaron Jones with 16. Christian Kirk had a bounce back adding 16. Teach is still starting Waddle and Hill, because he has to, and it’s not a pretty scene. PeePaw had 21 from Kamara and 15 from Monty. Wicks put up 22, Lamb had 20, and JJ added 18. The Rashee Rice injury early ended with a 0. That is a big hit to PeePaw’s team and ultimately cost him. Teach pulls one out 129.75 to 125.25. PeePaw’s bad luck continues.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Bruce

Mush was -1.3 points out of Carson Steele and Mike Gesicki. The good news was Xavier Legette had 17. That is it. Bruce had Brian Thomas Jr. put up 19, JT with 18, Nabers with 17, and Juan Jennings and D.J. Moore each had 10. Bruce had more guys and stays undefeated winning 117.6 to 64.55.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Touchdown Guy

B.B. made the switch to Baker and saw 39 from him. Pickens had 13, Ray-Ray McCloud had 10, and Goedert matched. TDG did not get much out of Josh Allen. That was a rough start but luckily he was going against B.B. TDG was also lead dog on the week. Lead dog having 11 from Josh Allen? Yes, D-Train had 34, Mike Evans had 19, James Conner had 18, Ladd had 15, Kittle had 13, Godwin had 10, and Josh Jacobs had 10. What a week. TDG wins 142 to 115.71.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. CrossFit

This game came down to the final snaps of Monday night. JD3 had a 30ish point lead going into Monday night. JD3 did not have a great week. Nico had 27, Chase and Diggs each had 16, and McLaurin had 15. CrossFit had 16 from Rasheed Shaheed, 14 from Freiermuth, and 13 from Barkley. CrossFit had St. Brown and Lockett going Monday Night. St. Brown and the Lions had a huge lead. This left the final couple drives for Lockett. Lockett did not have a reception in the final two drives, ending with 9 and St. Brown put up 20. JD3 snuck out a win 124.05 to 123.3. This is a big win for JD3 but bigger for Mush who has CrossFit’s first round pick next year.

Professor Pickum went perfect last week, let’s see how he turned out this week.
