Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 5 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 5 Recap. The bye weeks are in full swing, but it looks like Professor Pickum was the only one on bye. Let’s look at the matchups and Professor Pickum.

Game of the week.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Trashman

Mush is in a good spot. He has a 75 point buffer for pick 1.01. As for this matchup, it was really just to give these two teams one game of the week. We will probably bury them in the matchups the rest of the year. Mush saw 15 from Trey Sermon and Roschon Johnson, something we all knew. Tyrone Tracy added 14, again something we all knew would happen. Trashman saw 21 from Alex Pierce, 18 from Rico Dowdle, 12 from Cam Akers, and 10 from Tutu. Trashman saw no stats from Jalin Hyatt. Trashman had more points this week and gets a win 105.8 to 84.28.

v.

Bruce v. CrossFit

I don’t know how we keep letting this guy get away with this. Bruce is off to a hot start. Bruce saw practically nothing from Najee, Braelon, and Juann Jennings. However, D.J. Moore had 25, Darius Slayton had 22, Brian Thomas Jr. had 21, Flowers saw 16, Likely had 15, and Bateman had 14. What are the chances of anyone starting Darius Slayton? What a hit for Bruce. CrossFit needed to hit, but he did not. Shaheed added 19, Ekeler had 13, Kelce had 12, and Lockett added 10. It was just not enough. CrossFit came up short. Bruce wins a big one 151.3 to 110.61.

v.

PeePaw v. Pistol

This one would come down to Sunday and Monday Night. PeePaw needed like 12 points from Lamb and Kamara. PeePaw needed a win bad and Pistol wanted to keep things rolling. PeePaw saw 33 from Caleb Williams, 19 from Aiyuk, a baker’s dozen from Wandale, and a dozen from JJ. Pistol did not see much from his RBs with Kenneth Walker being the only RB with double digits with 11. Garett Wilson had 23, Jaylen Reed had 12, and some guy named Jordan Whittington had 12. What a play by Pistol. The problem would be that CeeDee put up 9, leaving Kamara needing 3 on Monday night, Kamara ended with 12. PeePaw finally gets a win, 117.9 to 111.85.

v.

Batman v. Bottom Bunk

Batman is fresh off his first loss of the season, no way he continues to lose, let alone to a bum like Bottom Bunk. Batman saw a monster 48 from Lamar. Again, no way you can lose when your QB puts up numbers like that right? James Cook added 17, Hubbard had 16, Kyren had 15, and Jakobi Meyers added 10. Bottom Bunk started off right with Drake London adding 28. B.B. saw 18 from Jalen Tolbert, 10 from Jake Ferguson, and 10 from Rayray McCloud. Baker’s 33 would also help. Batman just needed a good game from Olave to get the win. Olave ended Monday night with 2 points, what an epic collapse. 3-0 to 3-2. Bottom Bunk gets a big win, 132.4 to 123.7.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Teach

D.W. opened things up with 52 from Kirk Cousins. D.W. saw Kyle Juszczyk record no stats. What a roller coaster. Downs put down 13, Dare Ogunbowale had 12, JSN had 11, and Worthy was worth 10. Teach started to sweat early but cooled off as the games went on. Tucker crafted up 23 points in the TE slot for Teach. Brock Bowers, he’s a tight end too, he put up 20 for Teach. That is a hefty helping of TE production. Rhamondre Stevenson had 17, B-Rob with 14, Christian Kirk had 11, and Tyreek Hill added 10.  Teach needed a win and got one, 141.2 to 117.35.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

This was hands down the best matchup of the week. Former Champs going at it. These teams would end as Lead Dog and Lead Dog Runner up. That is some heavy hitting. Neither teams QB wanted it this week, both scoring under 20. TDG saw 25 from Tee Higgins, but was outdone by JD3’s Chase with 36. TDG saw 16 from both D-Train and Josh Jacobs. JD3 saw 18 from Kareem Hunt. TDG had 21 from Mike Evans, and JD3 saw 27 from Mooney and 12 from Pittman. Demarcus Robinson added 10 for TDG and JD3 saw 15 from Nico, 12 from Diggs, and 11 from McLaurin. TDG won the TE battle having 16 from Kittle. That one extra player with points and Chase put JD3 over the top. JD3 wins a heavyweight battle, 168.35 to 152.21.

Professor Pickum is 6-0 in his last 6, let’s see how this week goes.

Professor Pickum is now 10-5 on the year. Tough week, he wasn’t a huge fan of the board going into the week, sometimes you just have to lick your wounds and responsibly move on.

That does it for this week. Tomorrow we will get into Week 6, I cannot wait to see how the power rankings shake up. Until then, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
