Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 6 Preview. We have a juicy game of the week, another great matchup, some other games, Professor Pickum, and an all new power rankings. Let’s get to it.
Game of the week.

v.

Bruce v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons
Bruce is undefeated. JD3 is defeated at QB. Both teams are banged up, lot of questionable designations, should be an interesting matchup for first place in the league. Bruce has rookie sensation Jayden Daniels at the helm. JD3 is starting the Raiders QB. With a league that has every QB on a roster, JD3 had one option, that option is the Raiders QB. Bruce is hoping JT or Trey Sermon gets the nod in the Indy backfield, while JD3 is hoping Etienne is healthy for the game. Bruce has Braelon Allen and Najee to round out the backfield, and JD3 has Dobbins back off of bye. Bruce has two young rookies at WR in Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers. JD3 is relying on known fantasy options in Chase and Diggs. Bruce also has D.J. Moore and Zay Flowers. JD3 has McLaurin, but the rest of his WR core might be banged up. Will be interesting to see how things unfold as we get to the end of the week. Bruce is a 6 point favorite, and things are trending towards a shocking 6-0 start for Bruce.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Pistol
If we were doing co-game of the weeks, this would be it. TDG and Pistol are both coming off close loses. TDG is a 1 point favorite in this matchup. If not for the battle for first place, this would be the clear cut GOTW. But, it’s not, it’s just a matchup. TDG has the tall Josh Allen, Pistol with Stroud. Both teams have multiple backs, TDG has the names in D-Train, Conner, and Jacobs. Pistol has production in Walker, Jordan Mason, Chase Brown, and Javonte Williams. Both teams have WRs. TDG has Evans, Godwin, Higgins, and Ladd McConkey. Pistol has A.J. Brown, Jayden Reed, Sutton, and G-Wil. TDG has Kittle which is an advantage over Pistol’s Kincaid. Josh Allen usually bounces back, I think that slight difference will give TDG a close win this week, but I’d expect the lead dog to come out of this matchup.

v.

Batman v. Teach
Batman is in a slump, Teach cannot feel good about his lineup. It’s the perfect storm. Batman is rolling out Lamar, Swift, Hubbard, and Olave. James Cook, Diontae Johnson, DeVonta Smith, and Jakobi Meyers are all questionable as of today, that will decide whether or not Batman can get it done this week. Teach doesn’t have much with Tyreek on bye. Teach has Pollard and Brock Bowers. Doubs is back in the lineup, but a head case, Stevenson and B-Rob are both banged up. Teach cannot afford anyone to be out this week. Right now, Batman is a 23 point favorite, I don’t think the lineups will matter too much, Batman should bounce back here.

v.

CrossFit v. Bottom Bunk
CrossFit has had a bit of bad luck, Bottom Bunk is on a revenge tour. CrossFit needs to set his lineup to give a fair evaluation. I assume Dak, Barkley, St. Brown, Deebo, Cooper, and Lockett should be in the lineup. Bottom Bunk is rolling with Baker, Breece, Bijan, Drake, Pickens, and Odunze. Those changes by CrossFit should swing things in CrossFit’s favor by a couple points. I think Bottom Bunk continues his run here and surprises everyone with another fluke win.

v.

PeePaw v. Trashman
PeePaw got a win, let’s see if he can put a couple together. Trashman got a win too, but it was against the worst team in the league. PeePaw needs to see if Kamara goes, should play, but a big hitter for PeePaw. Monty is back, Lamb, Aiyuk, and Wandale round out his team. Missing Jefferson this week will hurt and Davante needs to find a team soon. Trashman is projected to score at most 80 points this week. He is not worth discussing. PeePaw will win this week.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Mush’s Mongrels
This is an ugly matchup this week. D.W. has D.K. Metcalf, JSN, and Tank Dell who should be relevant without Nico in the Texans lineup. Mush made a trade this week acquiring Kimani Vidal who has recorded no stats this season. Like Vidal, I do not expect much out of Mush this week. D.W. is a 22 point favorite and should win an ugly one. Mush is calling his shot here, which no one cares. I was just told to include that note in this matchup.
Professor Pickum went 1-2 last week, he needs a bounce back, let’s check out this weeks Study Guide.

Week 6 Study Guide
Winning 6 in a row was fun, but man, getting Arizona home to avoid going 0-3 was exhilarating. Not celebrating 1-2 (editors note, seems like he is?!?), but we’re still alive. I explained why Giants were the play and I trusted a jet legged geriatric hippin in London instead, smh.
Time to get back to the basics this week. Nothing fancy. Just good old fashioned Lombardi sweeps. Let’s get a sea here, and a seal here, and find our alley. Onward.
A trend that continues to play out (and pay out) are dogs of 5.5 or more. This week there’s one that jumps so hard off the board it scares me. It feels like a hunk of cheese on a rat trap. BUT, sharp money is taking the cheese too and I think there’s a chance we can get a bit without getting our necks snapped.
- Washington Commanders +6.5 @ Baltimore Ravens
Side note, there’s a game out here with a 9 point dog, but I’m staying away. Not sure if it’s a rabid dog or a dead dog, but you do you.
Cleveland travels to Philly. 9.5 point dogs. Their QB is allegedly not a great person (editors note this was changed for legal reasons), and even worse, a QUITTER. The Browns are 1-4 ATS this year and the Eagles are 2-2 ATS. I don’t trust either of these teams to be anything other than abysmal.
The O/U is 43.
The Browns have only been in one game this year that cleard that number, last week as Jayden Daniels dog walked ‘em.
The Eagles have exceeded that total one time on US soil this season. Also, in their last game and also having nothing to do with their 16 points.
Browns offense has no soul. Their defense is very solid. Eagles offense is solid, their defense needed the Bye week but the one thing they’ve done well all year is bow up in the Red Zone (which is the only time the Browns have been any good this year).
I’ve nearly talked myself out of this pick with all the indicators, BUT, I’ll take the Under 43.
- Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia Eagles Under 43
For our last play, we have something near and dear to the Old Professor’s heart. There is a Total on the board that has rarely been seen in the NFL since the invention of the forward pass.
The O/U as the Chargers head to Denver is 35.5.
This is a PERSONAL SYSTEM CHALLENGE PLAY.
Give me a disgusting, grotesque, slobber knocker, body part (explicit term revised by editor) in the dirt, ground and point, chest (another explicit term revised by editor) bumping, punt fest at Mile High. I’m Lambeau Field (editor revised this to an inside joke that only the teams will understand, mainly TDG as it was also borderline explicit). Under 35.5.
- Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos Under 35.5
Professor Pickum is now 10-5 on the year.
Now for an all new power rankings.

Bruce has earned the top spot, we will just have to see how long he keeps it.
That’s all we have for this week. Things might shake up a little this week based on the matchups, a lot of teams battling for position are facing each other. Hopefully your team comes out on top, until next time, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
