Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 6 Recap. What a week, we got two teams in a complete nose dive, teams thinking about leaving the league, you name it, we got it. Let’s look at our matchups and how Professor Pickum ended up.
Game of the week.

v.

Bruce v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons
Bruce was looking to go 6-0 and JD3 was looking to take over as the #1 team in the league. Only one of those things could happen. Bruce saw a 30 point week from Jayden Daniels, solid young QB. JD3 cut both Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’ Connell. Joe Flacco got the nod and did enough to not ruin the week for JD3. Bruce saw a monster 19 point from Najee, but Braelon Allen had 1 point. Zay Flowers had 18 and Evan Engram added 13. The rest of Bruce’s team flopped. JD3 needed a solid week. Etienne did not contribute at all, ending the day with -0.1. The good news is that the vet WR core went off. McLaurin had 20, Keenan Allen had 19, and Stefon Diggs put up 17. Dobbins also added 17, Pittman had 11, and Chase even threw in 10. JD3 beat Bruce 128.95 to 105.15. Bruce’s inability to manage a dynasty team continues as this loss was all but guaranteed when Bruce started Jennings in the Flex spot who played Thursday night.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Pistol
We had a big time matchup here with a lot of points. As predicted, the lead dog came out of this matchup, this was also our highest scoring matchup. The teams put up monster numbers. The QB battle was a good one. TDG’s Josh Allen put up 32 to Pistol’s Stroud’s 28. TDG and Pistol each had two 20 point performers. TDG had D-Train for 25 and Kittle for 20. Pistol saw 21 from both A.J. Brown and G-Will. TDG had 11 from Jacobs and Higgins. Pistol had 17 from Kenny Walks, 13 from Sutton and Jaylen Reed, and 11 from Gibby. The big difference was that TDG also had a 30 point performer in Chris Godwin. That was the big difference. TDG gets a big win 150.75 to 142.9. TDG somehow has two losses on the season but has been lead dog half of the season.

v.

Batman v. Teach
Batman was in a two game skid, Teach needs every win he can get. Batman had highs and lows. Swift had 20, Bucky Irving had 19, but Ty Johnson in replace of James Cook only had 3 and Olave had -1. Batman had some other players show up, Hubbard had 13, DeVonta Smith had 14, so did McBride, and Dionte Johnson ended up with 17. Teach got Mixon back who put up 26 points. That was a big swing for Teach, Pollard had 16, Brock Bowers had 12, and Romeo Doubs had 18. Teach had a solid week, but with 5 players scoring 5 or less, it was not enough. Batman gets the big win 128.51 to 110.5. Batman made arguably the substitution of the year by subbing in Ty Johnson for James Cook. It did not amount to much but it was a great play. He deserves the credit. It doesn’t matter if Ray Davis is on his taxi and would have been the better play.

v.

CrossFit v. Bottom Bunk
Spoiler alert, Bottom Bunk won. I am as shocked as you. CrossFit is a mess, Bottom Bunk is somehow 4-2, none of this makes sense. CrossFit saw Dak put up 7 points. Barkley and Amari Cooper put up 6 a piece. The good news is Amari Cooper is headed to Buffalo, so maybe things turn around for him. Deebo had a big week with 21, Demario Douglas had 18, Lockett had 15, Shaheed had 14, and Ekeler had 10. The Dak performance ultimately cost CrossFit. B.B. saw 40 from Baker, 24 from Bijan, 19 from Breece, and 16 from both London and Jameson Williams. The high end production was enough to push B.B. into the victory lane. B.B. ended with 140.05 to CrossFit’s 112.06.

v.

PeePaw v. Trashman
PeePaw ends a one game winning streak with a loss to Trashman. PeePaw saw 41 from Caleb Williams and still lost. Monty had 21, Kamara had 15, and Lamb had 13. Davante is headed to the Jets, so he should be playing soon. Trashman had himself quite the week. Jordan Love had 38. Sean Tucker had 35. That was the big difference. Sean Tucker, what a start. Alec Pierce ended with 0. Which is something that Trashman still put up so many points. Allgeier had 19, Mark Andrews had 14, so did Christian Watson, and Sam LaPorta even added 12. Trashman had a big week, putting up 149.14, which was better than PeePaw’s 111.9.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Mush’s Mongrels
It was ugly, but D.W. had a good week. Josh Downs had 23, Cole Kmet had 11, Gabe Davis had 19, Tank Dell had 15, and Dameon Pierce had 14. That was a nice week from D.W.’s skill players. Mush saw 20 from Tyrone Tracey, 12 from Kimani Vidal, and 11 from Xavier Legette. Mind you, Mush traded Trey Sermon for Kimani Vidal. What a steal of a trade by Mush. D.W. put up 130.25 to 86.7. D.W. found their second win of the year, while Mush is still headed for pick 1.01.
Professor Pickum is 10-5 overall, let’s see how the Answer Sheet shakes out from last weeks test.

Professor Pickum went 1-2 on the week and is now 11-7 on the year. Professor Pickum is in a mini skid.
That does it for Week 6. We have some good teams (on paper) with only two wins. We have some bad teams (in real life) in the playoff picture. Each week will get more interesting. We are almost at the halfway point, teams can turn things around or give up hope, it will be an interesting few weeks. Until next time, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
