Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 7 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 7 Preview. After this week we will be half way through the fantasy regular season. We will also be one month away from the trade deadline. Teams that want to be buyers at the deadline need to win to force the hands of other teams. We have our matchups, Professor Pickum, and our Power Rankings. Let’s take a look at these juicy matchups.

Game of the week.

v.

Bruce v. Touchdown Guy

Bruce is fresh off a loss. TDG is coming off of lead dog. The winner of this matchup could end up in the first place spot if another team loses their matchup. Either way, this is an important matchup as we get ready for playoff positioning. TDG has Josh Allen and Bruce has Jayden Daniels. TDG has D-Train and Bruce has JT. TDG has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Bruce has Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. TDG has James Conner and Josh Jacobs, Bruce has Najee and Zay Flowers. TDG also has Kittle. The vets are on TDG’s team, the odds are also on his side, TDG is a 22 point favorite. Bruce is in a good spot though, TDG is coming off of a high and it can’t get much worse for Bruce. Well, I think it does, Bruce comes up short this week and may never win again.

v.

PeePaw v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

If we had a co-game of the week, this would be it. This is a tight matchup despite the records. PeePaw is only a 5 point dog. PeePaw should get Davante back this week, which could change things for him. Herbert is healthy, Kamara is good, Monty is good, and Jefferson is good. Ridley and Wandale will need a qb to throw them the ball, that is their downfall. JD3 is still waiting on a big week for Mahomes. Hunt and Dobbins have been solid this year. Chase and Diggs have been good. The question marks come from Hopkins, Pittman, Mooney, and McLaurin as they have not been consistent. Which ever team has the surprise outburst should get it done this week. PeePaw is a loss away from selling the team, JD3 could use some help. If JD3 pulls it off this week, he might help out the playoff contenders.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Pistol

Mush has a dog down this week, with Maserati Marv has a flat tire. Pistol has Kenny Walker, Javonte, A.J. Brown, Jaylen Reed, Chase Brown, G-Will, and Gibby. Pistol by a landslide this week.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Bottom Bunk

D.W. is in trouble this week. Only two skill positions are projected more than 10 points, Metcalf and Tank Dell. However, Josh Downs and JSN could get in the mix. D.W. will need all the help they can get. Bottom Bunk has to set his lineup. With 3 players on bye, his projection is still more than D.W.’s. Breece, B-Rob, Drake London, and Pickens should overwhelm D.W. this week. B.B. isn’t going to see much from his bench, but he doesn’t really need them. B.B. should be a 20 point favorite by kickoff, I think B.B. gets another win somehow.

v.

Batman v. CrossFit

Batman is coming off of a big win, CrossFit is falling apart. Batman is a 21 point favorite going into this matchup. Lamar, Chuba, Kyren, James Cook, Achane, DeVonta Smith and Diontae Johnson all have been consistent this year, or at least as of late. CrossFit has to figure out the QB situation, which has plagued him for years. CrossFit has Barkley, Deebo, St. Brown, and Kelce. CrossFit just saw Amari Cooper get traded to the Bills, this could turn things around for CrossFit. Rasheed Shaheed is out, which hurts CrossFit, and will hurt him even more if he does not adjust his lineup. Batman should get it done this week, which may put CrossFit in the “sell now” category.

v.

Trashman v. Teach

Trashman is coming off of a surprise win, Teach is coming off of a bad loss. I don’t know that either team should win this week. But, Teach is a 30 point favorite, so my guess is he gets it done. Trashman has Addison and J-Love. Teach has Mixon, Pollard, B-Rob, Tyreek, and Brock Bowers. The fact that Trashman is not projected to score 90 this week is all you need to know. Teach should get it done, but will still find himself on the outside looking in the playoff picture.

Professor Pickum went 1-2 last week, let’s check out this week and see if his Study Guide is better.

Week 7 Study Guide

Alright. No more prose, no lengthy monologues. Just back to strictly winners (also I may or may not have run out of time that I thought I’d have to do my write ups before writer’s harsh but fair deadline). Picks only this week. Fade me.

  • Denver Broncos @ New Orleans Saints Under 37.5
    • Gross game, I’ll watch.
  • Cincinnati Bengals @ Cleveland Browns Under 41.5
    • Grosser game, I won’t watch (much)
  • Houston Texans @ Green Bay Packers -2.5
    • Fade the public, Go Pack Go!

Professor Pickum is now 11-7 on the year.

Now for an all new power rankings.

Not a whole lot of shuffling this week. Things are pretty even through 6. I do not see teams 10-12 moving up or down at all any time soon.

That does it for this week. It should be an interesting week. A lot of teams playoff hopes are in the balance. Teams are trying to continue to separate themselves from the bottom half of the league. A couple teams need to win to help out the rest of the league, we will have to see how things play out. Until next time, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!
