Good morning, we are going to dive into a second mock draft now that we are closer to draft day. We had a big trade, now the mid to late draft is going to shift drastically. But why waste time, let’s take a look at the mock.

Pick 1 – Jacksonville Jaguars – Aidan Hutchinson – DE – Michigan
Previously – Even Neal – OT – Alabama
Jaguars go with the best player in the draft and ignore providing their franchise QB with offensive line help. Classic Jags.
Pick 2 – Detroit Lions – Travon Walker – DL – Georgia
Previously Aidan Hutchinson – DE – Michigan
Travon Walker is a pass rusher that had 9.5 sacks. Walker can go anywhere from first pick to late first. But Walker’s versatility on the defensive line is something that is super intriguing for all NFL teams. He can line up inside, outside, up, and down. Defensive players have multiple “techniques” in how they position themselves, Walker is good at all of them. I know nothing about defensive line, but being able to do all of it seems like a good thing.
Pick 3 – Houston Texans – Even Neal – OT – Alabama
Previously Ikem Ekwonu – OT – N.C. State
Texans can go anywhere here. The Texans should trade this pick back, but instead they grab an offensive lineman that can either play tackle or guard. Let Neal pick his spot, worry about the rest later. The Texans have so many issues, if Neal ends up being a starting guard, at least the Texans drafted a starter. Texans have a lot of things they need to do. While a guy like Kayvon Thibodeaux is super athletic and has tremendous upside, the Texans need to play it safe and take proven guys from proven schools.
Pick 4 – New York Jets – Kayvon Thibodeaux – DE Oregon
Previously Kayvon Thibodeaux – DE – Oregon
Jets have a Coach in Robert Saleh that is all defense. All he needs is one offensive player to go before this pick and he is going with one of these defensive monsters.
Pick 5 – New York Giants – Ikem Ekwonu – OT – NC State
Previously Charlie Cross – OT – Mississippi State
Giants have an offensive coach, he needs to sure up the O-Line to see if he has a QB. At worst he the Giants move on from their QB next year and have a stud tackle to protect the new guy. Ikem is big, send him to the big apple.
Pick 6 – Carolina Panthers – Malik Willis – QB – Liberty
Previously Malik Willis – QB – Liberty
This pick stays the same, Panthers need to do something at QB, Malik will sit a year or at least four games. Maybe Malik has a new Coach in a year, but that coach will be signed up for a athletic QB. The Panthers are a couple years out from hoping to be in a win now mode. Do not trade for Baker, take the young QB and hope it works out.
Pick 7 – New York Giants (from Chicago Bears) – Garrett Wilson – WR – Ohio State
Previously Devin Lloyd – LB – Utah
Giants need help everywhere, Giants have a young WR in Kadarius Toney. Giants will have two young WRs that will be developed for whoever is the 2023 QB. Daboll is an offensive coach, he wants offense, he let Josh Allen spin it, no reason he doesn’t let his QB spin it.
Pick 8 – Atlanta Falcons – Ahmad Gardner – CB – Cincinatti
Previously Garrett Wilson – WR – Ohio State
Gardner has been talking sauce, while I’m just some overweight guy typing on a keyboard, I think GMs buy into the hype. The Sauce can bring some juice to the Dirty Birds. The Falcons need so much help. Maybe the Falcons hang out for a bit and hope Mariota is just an average QB.
Pick 9 – Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos) – Charlie Cross – OT – Mississippi State
Previously George Karlaftis – DE – Purdue
Seahawks are claiming they are not in a rebuild. We will see. Either way they need O-Line help. O-Line is right behind QB in the ten commandments of a successful football team, Cross goes here.
Pick 10 – New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks) – Drake London – WR – USC
Previously Derek Stingley Jr. – CB – LSU
Jets went defense, now they go offense. Zach Wilson can throw that thing. Wilson was not great early with turnovers. Add a big body wide receiver, now he can still make the confident throws and get bailed out by the big Drake. Jets have also been linked to wanting to trade for a WR. The only way to make a WR play for the Jets is to draft the guy.
Pick 11 – Washington Commanders – Derek Stingley Jr. – CB – LSU
Previously Kyle Hamilton – S – Notre Dame
Washington needs secondary help, their defense was not great last year. Stingley has shown flashes of being a lockdown guy. He’s the second best CB in the draft and a top prospect in the draft. I think Washington hopes their offense is enough and add a little defense to slow down the Dallas offense for a shot at the division.
Pick 12 – Minnesota Vikings – Trent McDuffie – CB – Washington
Previously Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner – CB – Cincinnati
Vikings still have a huge need at corner. Vikings still take a corner.
Pick 13 – Houston Texans (from Cleveland Browns) – Kyle Hamilton – S – Notre Dame
Previously Travon Walker – Edge – Georgia
Kyle Hamilton has gone all over the place in draft boards. He’s been mentioned as the best prospect in the draft, and he’s after 15 in some mocks. It is really confusing, but also shows how important other positions are. Either way, if this is how the Texans draft goes, they immediately have two starters for the next 5 years.
Pick 14 – Baltimore Ravens – Jermaine Johnson II – Edge – Florida State
Previously Trent McDuffie – CB – Washington
Ravens still have to go defense. Ravens get a pass rush to help their secondary, pressuring the QB means you do not have to defend as long. Simple stuff right?
Pick 15 – Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami Dolphins) – Jameson Williams – WR – Alabama
Previously Jameson Williams – WR – Alabama
Eagles stay with this pick. They tricked the Saints into a trade and then still snipe a WR before the Saints can. The Eagles are looking to maybe walk away from Jalen Hurts after this year, so taking Williams off an injury further proves that they are not going all in this year and are just trying to get by.
Pick 16 – New Orleans Saints (from Philadelphia Eagles) – Kenny Pickett – QB – Pittsburgh
Formerly the Philadelphia Eagles and Nakobe Dean – LB – Georgia
The warm weather should help the little hands. Saint got in to this year’s draft for a reason, and without a second QB off the board I think they try to start their team over here. Will Pickett be the guy, only time will tell.
Pick 17 – Los Angeles Chargers – Chris Olave – WR – Ohio State
Previously Devonte Wyatt – DL – Georgia
The Chargers just want Herbert to be the greatest young QB in the history of the NFL, statistically. The Chargers know they have a guy in Herbert and have to go all in on offense to try and get to the Super Bowl right NOW.
Pick 18 – Philadelphia Eagles (from New Orleans Saints) – Devin Llyod – LB – Utah
Previously the New Orleans Saints and Drake London – WR – USC
Eagles need their defensive help as well. The Eagles luck out and get a great pick here by just letting the draft fall to them. Lloyd can be the leader on defense while the Eagles continue to try and figure out their leader on offense.
Pick 19 – New Orleans Saints – Trevor Penning – OT – Northern Iowa
Previously Philadelphia Eagles and Jeremaine Johnson II – Edge – Florida State
Saints grabbed a QB, now they grab a guy to protect him. Saints still need to address WR and Defense, but the QB/OT combo are better building blocks at this point in the draft. Without these two positions it does not matter what else you have.
Pick 20 – Pittsburgh Steelers – Matt Corral – QB – Mississippi
Previously Kenny Pickett – QB – Pittsburgh
The third QB off the board is going to be a surprise. The Steelers see how difficult it is to stop Lamar Jackson each year and I think that would entice the Steelers to take a QB that can scramble. While Mitch True is no big time scrambling QB, the Steelers can shift their offense to make up for some offensive line issues. Matt Corral can learn, follow, and exceed the example Mitch True will set in year one of Post-Ben era in Pittsburgh.
Pick 21 – New England Patriots – Andrew Booth Jr. – CB – Clemson
Previously Andrew Booth Jr. – CB – Clemson
Pats need defensive help. They are taking a corner. I will not hear otherwise.
Pick 22 – Green Bay Packers (from Las Vegas Raiders) – Treylon Burks – WR – Arkansas
Previously Chris Olave – WR – Ohio State
Burks is arguably the best route runner in the draft. Packers take him and move on. While they could wait, they likely miss out on Burks and/or Watson and/or Pickens. They have to go WR here and pick whatever else is there at 28.
Pick 23 – Arizona Cardinals – George Karlaftis – Edge – Purdue
Previously Tyler Linderbaum – C – Iowa
The Cardinals need offenseive line help, but they also need defensive line help. Karlaftis could go as early as 11, so having him here at 23 is a steal.
Pick 24 – Dallas Cowboys –Zion Johnson – G – Boston College
Previously Bernhard Raimann – OT – Central Michigan
Again, not the sexy pick that the Cowboys are known to make. However, Cowboys need to address their O-Line. This 300 pound Zion will actual play because he is in the right sport. If the Cardinals avoid interior o-line, the Cowboys have to take this pick.
Pick 25 – Buffalo Bills – Kaiir Elam – CB – Florida
Previously Jordan Davis – DL – Georgia
Elam is a press corner who will be great opposite of White. Bills will need another stud corner to compete with the likes of Hill and Waddle. Am I talking up the Dolphins? Am I incredibly biased about the Dolphins? Yes to both. Either way, The Bills have no bigger need than Corner, so while there is still a starting Corner on the board you take him.
Pick 26 – Tennessee Titans – Kenyon Green – G – Texas A&M
Previously Boye Mafe – Edge – Minnesota
The Titans do not need a whole lot, they just need a little help over being pushed over the edge. Titans can grab a foundational player here and still be right where they need to be. Kenyon is a versatile lineman. He has played guard and then every position except center. He can do it all and will be a big help for the Titans moving forward.
Pick 27 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jordan Davis – DL – Georgia
Previously Lewis Cine – S – Georgia
Bucs need help on defense. This D-Line is going to continue to be scary. Take the best true interior d-lineman in the draft and know that you are good short and long term at the position.
Pick 28 – Green Bay Packers – Bernhard Raimann – OT Central Michigan
Previously Trevor Penning – OT – Northern Iowa
Packers still need an O-Lineman. Whatever Tackle is here the Packers will take. Penning or Raimann seem to be the likely options. Either way the Packers will sure up their O-Line with this pick and address other needs like another WR, Edge, and D-Line in the second round.
Pick 29 – Kansas City Chiefs (from Miami Dolphins) – Christian Watson – WR – North Dakota State
Previously Treylon Burks – WR – Arkansas
The Chiefs lost Hill, have Juju on a one year deal, have a burner in MVS, and still have Kelce. All the Chiefs do is draft fast guys. Watson is 6’4 and sub 4.4. Ahhhhhhh, ya think? No way Andy Reid turns down this speed and height.
Pick 30 – Kansas City Chiefs – Lewis Cine – S – Georgia
Previously Kaiir Elam – CB – Florida
Cine was the great tackler. The Chiefs not so much. Cine can make up for the lack of defense that the Chiefs tend to have in their shootouts. When you have a player that is not afraid to put his head in there, there is the chance for turnovers. Turnovers put the ball back in Patty M’s hand.
Pick 31 – Cincinnati Bengals – Tyler Linderbaum – C – Iowa
Previously Zion Johnson – G – Boston College
Linderbaum is the best interior lineman in the draft and possibly third best lineman in the draft. Look at what Creed Humphries did for the Chiefs last year.
Pick 32 – Detroit Lions (from Los Angeles Rams) – George Pickens – WR – Georgia
Previously Matt Corral – QB – Mississippi
Amon-Ra St. Brown is a great WR, but I doubt he can be enough to propel the Lions in the direction they need. St. Brown paired with a taller Pickens can be the ying and yang the Lions need to help build their team. Obviously the Lions need a long term QB, but Goff can bridge the gap while the Lions try to find that answer.
We will release Day 1 Recap next week. Because it is 7 days until the Draft. Let’s get this Bread baby. Rest up, gear up, get you snacks up, we got some TV to watch baby. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
