Pot Cakes Dynasty League Round 1 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the PCDL Round 1 Preview. We have some byes and some matchups. This is when it matters. We have teams competing for the ship and teams competing for picks. Let’s get right into it.

#1 – JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

First round bye and needs it in the worst way while his team heals up.

#2 – CrossFit

First round by and doesn’t need it because his team is liquid hot.

v.

#3 Touchdown Guy v. #6 Batman

Touchdown Guy might have some concerns as Josh Jacobs is banged up. The good news is that he still has the tall Josh Allen, D-Henry is heating up, some combo of Puca and Kupp should put up points, TDG needs the Tampa Bay WR duo to have one boom, and Kittle needs to continue to have big time performances. TDG has the option to put James Conner in the lineup. TDG should end up alright. Batman has been one of the hottest teams in fantasy right now. Lamar, Achane, Cook, Kyren, Olave, and DeVonta have been great. If Batman sees a couple boom performances from Hubbard and Achane he will be tough to beat. Right now Batman is the underdog, TDG is the 9 point favorite. This should be an interesting matchup. TDG always puts on a show in the playoffs and Batman is looking to prove himself. This will be a nail biter.

v.

#4 Teach v. #5 Pistol

Teach is down bad. Pistol isn’t much better. Teach will need to see how healthy his Miami trio is. Tua should be fine but both Waddle and Tyreek were banged up last week. Waddle should be ok, but Hill will be the real question. Mixon and Pollard have been good. Hockenson has also been good. Brian Robinson will also find his way into the picture, but there are 2 maybe 3 spots that Teach does not look good in. Pistol is looking to blast through this first round matchup. Purdy has been reliable, Sutton has been a TD machine, Garrett Wilson might get hyper targeted, Jayden Reed somehow always finds the endzone, Javonte Williams has been good, Gibbs is streaky, and A.J. Brown is due for a takeover week. Right now Pistol is a 13 point favorite despite being the lower seed. Teach needs all the help he can get right now or else the start of the season best team will find himself out of the offs after the first round.

Consolation Bracket

#7 – PeePaw

PeePaw needs the week to heal up. Herbie is down, JJ is down, and both directly impact his ability to win the 1.13 pick.

#8 Trashman

Me, the writer, has more skin in winning this thing (which is none) than Trashman reading this. He will be competing for pick 3.13 or 4.13.

v.

#9 Daddy Wombat v. #12 Mush’s Mongrels

Honestly, I don’t care who wins here and neither should you. Neither team wants it.  D.W. is a 20 point favorite but I don’t see either team hitting 100.

v.

#10 Bottom Bunk v. #11 Bruce

B.B. had a raw shake. Bruce is a coward. Bruce is a favorite this week and it should show you how much of a coward he has been all week and the overall bad person that he is. Bruce is a bad man and I wish nothing but bad fortune for him.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 12th study guide for Professor Pickum.

Chargers @ Raiders Under 34.5

Hypothesis

  • Bad offenses with backup QBs on Primetime. Seems easy so it probably won’t hit.

Denver @ Detroit -4.5

Hypothesis

  • It’s time for the Lions to snap out of it and this week is a great chance to do just that at home vs. Mr. Unlimited

Dallas @ Buffalo -2

Hypothesis

  • Bills’ need to keep the winning momentum rolling to have a chance at playoffs.
  • Dallas has been dogs twice this year. At San Fran and at Philly. Both games they failed to cover.

Professor Pickum is 21-14 overall (and desperate for a win).

Well that does it for this week. Hopefully you and yours have a better tomorrow and some playoff victories.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 14 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 14 Recap. The regular season has concluded and boy oh boy did we end with some drama. Let’s just get on into it. We have our GOTW, matchups, and Professor Pickum.

Game of the week.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. CrossFit

The winner of this matchup would receive the bye and a chance to take the 1 seed. TDG has 33 points out of his Rams WR duo in Puca and Kupp. The problem is he only saw 9 from the Tampa Bay duo in Evans and Godwin. Josh Allen matched CrossFit’s Dake with 27. Henry had a solid 18 for TDG and George Kittle even added 15. But CrossFit had 32 from Deebo who for whatever reason decided to show up as soon as he got to CrossFit’s team. Mostert added 23, CMC had 16 and Ekeler even poured on 19. Locket had 12 and Kelce even added 11. The big booms by CrossFit’s guys gave him the edge in this matchup. CrossFit was lead dog with 173.63 to 126.05.

v.

Teach v. Trashman

Teach stinks and if anyone good played him he’d be out of the playoffs. Mixon had 20, Pollard had 13 and Waddle had 11. Trashman was worse. Trashman only had one person in double digits, that was T-Law with 29. Teach pulled this one off 92.2 to 56.45 and the luckiest draw out of anyone the week before the playoffs.

v.

PeePaw v. Daddy Wombat

PeePaw needed a win and a loss from Teach. He didn’t get the loss from Teach. PeePaw at least gets a bye in the consolation bracket to get healthy. Things don’t look great for him though with Herbert out and JJ out. D.W. didn’t do much anything either. PeePaw wins 84.6 to 50.45.

v.

Batman v. Mush’s Mongrels

Batman was a 60 point favorite and he got it done. Lamar had 43, Hubbard had 11, Achane had 10, James Cook had 23, Kyren had 13, Diontae had 13, Olave had 11 and Njoku added 24. What a weekend for Batman. Mush tried, Browning put up 32, White had 21, and McKinnon with 11. It was not enough. Mush will miss the playoffs. Batman wins 159.7 to 97.09.

v.

Pistol v. Bruce

Pistol is in the playoffs, whether Pistol won or lost it doesn’t matter. Bruce is still a coward and has pick 1.02.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

Bottom Bunk started Dyami Brown and Devante Parker who both had 0 points. Drake London had 24 points, Breece had 23, and Bijan had 17. It was quite the week for B.B. JD3 needed the win to keep the 1 seed. JD3 went into Monday night 16 points down. He needed D-Hop to turn back the clock. Guess who turned back the clock, D-Hop. JD3 gets the by and needs some help. Chase has a backup QB, Keenan Allen has a backup QB and Nico is hurt. Things are not great. D-Ho had 22 points, Etienne had 15, Pittman had 16 and Singletary added 13. JD3 needs to think on some things but he can do that on the bye winning 114.95 to 109.8.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 11th answer sheet for Professor Pickum.

Indianapolis -1 @ Cincinnati

Nope.

Houston -3 @ New York Jets

Nope.

Buffalo @ Kansas City -1.5

Nope.

Professor Pickum went 0-3 and is 21-14 overall. Professor Pickum finally fell off he needs a bounce back big time.

Come back tomorrow to see who made it and who didn’t. We have the playoff picture and all the teams that are fighting to stay alive. Right now we have Mush on the clock, while he waits for his remaining first round picks to settle in. Until next time I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 14 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 14 Preview. What a week we have. This is it the final week. We have 1 playoff spot up for grabs. It can get interesting. We also have some issues at the top pending how things shake out. Let’s just get into it, GOTW, matchups, Professor Pickum and we will run through a playoff picture/playoff rankings.

Game of the week.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. CrossFit

Yes, this is all the drama. TDG is currently the 3 seed and CrossFit is the 2 seed. The only way TDG can change his see is by winning. CrossFit can go down to the 3 seed with a loss and can go up with a win, JD3 loss and 5 points on JD3. TDG can also jump up to 1 with a win, JD3 loss and 35 points on JD3. It all has to start with a win for one of these two teams. These two teams have been putting up big points the last few weeks and are heating up at the right time. CrossFit is a 15 point favorite right now. TDG has the Tall Josh Allen, CrossFit has the hot Dak. TDG has Henry and Jacobs. CrossFit has Mostert and CMC. These are some heavy hitters. The WR room is up there too. TDG has Evans, Godwin, Kupp and Puca. CrossFit has Cooper, Lockett, St. Brown and Deebo. TDG has Kittle and CrossFit has Kelce. This is going to be a heavyweight bout. Cannot wait to see how it shakes out. I’m going to give the slight edge to CrossFit just on QB play, but this is anyone’s ballgame.

v.

Teach v. Trashman

This game also has a lot on the line. The best odds of movement on the playoff picture. A Trashman win could kick Teach out of the offs. This is hot hot hot. Will Trashman set his lineup? Teach has the Tua/Hill/Waddle trio. Teach has Hock, Mixon and Pollard. Trashman probably lost Lawrence, probably Christian Watson too and who knows about Aaron Jones. Well, looking at this lineup, I think this is over. Trashman has Zack Moss, Sam LaPorta and Pacheco. Trashman needs a miracle and for the Dolphins to stink. I don’t think it happens. Teach is going to be like a 30 point favorite roughly. Teach is going to win by a lot more than that.

v.

PeePaw v. Daddy Wombat

PeePaw needs to win to keep the hopes alive. Daddy Wombat is out of it. All PeePaw can do is win and this will be a streak of about four wins for PeePaw if he misses the playoffs. Herb, Monty, Lamb, Rice, Adams and J.J. I don’t see how PeePaw can lose this matchup. D.W. has Hurts, Kamara, Metcalf and two roster spots to fill in with Dell on IR and Rondale Moore on bye. PeePaw is a 40 point favorite and will shrink to about 24 if a lineup is set. Valliant effort by PeePaw on the year, but things are not looking good. PeePaw gets it done this week.

v.

Batman v. Mush’s Mongrels

The rest of the matchups are pretty boring. Batman is currently in the playoffs. He plays a team that faces a lot of byes this week. Batman has Kyren Williams and Achane and Lamar. Batman wins this one by 100 (currently a 60 point favorite).

v.

Pistol v. Bruce

Pistol is in the playoffs. Win or lose it does not matter. Bruce is still a coward.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

Bottom Bunk could pull off as spoiler. JD3 needs to lose to give CrossFit or TDG hope. I don’t think it will matter, B.B. has Breece and Bijan who have only underperformed all year. JD3 has two concerns in his lineup with Cade Otton and Singletary. The rest of the lineup is good, JD3 has a huge advantage at QB. B.B. has Mayfield and JD3 has Mahomes. JD3 gets the win and locks in the 1 seed. JD3 is going to be a 40 point favorite come kickoff.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 11th study guide for Professor Pickum.

The Professor is a real dummy not picking the over in the TNF game despite laying out in the write up way it would probably hit. So this week’s theme is to not overthink. K.I.S.S.
So without further ado, here’s my minimal thinking plays:

  1. Indianapolis -1 @ Cincinnati
  • Hypothesis:
  • Colts on a roll w/ Minshew Mania and I expect a letdown from Cincy
  1. Houston -3 @ New York Jets
  • Hypothesis:
  • Jets haven’t covered since October 15th and I don’t expect that to change with them going back to Zach Wilson
  1. Buffalo @ Kansas City -1.5
  • Hypothesis:
  • I think this is a great bounceback opportunity for KC at home

Professor Pickum is 21-11 overall.

We are doing a drawn out power rankings by running through the playoff picture.

1 Seed – JD3 has to collapse against a bum in B.B. to give up the spot. JD3 has a game on CrossFit and TDG and 5 points and 35 on each respectively.

2 Seed – CrossFit has to win, JD3 has to lose and CrossFit needs 5 points to move up. CrossFit’s win or loss against TDG will determine if he’s 2 or 3 as well.

3 Seed – Touchdown Guy is locked in at the 3 seed and can move up to 2 with a win and move up to 1 with a win and 35 points on JD3.

4 Seed – Pistol just needs to win to keep this spot. The only way Pistol realistically loses this spot is if he loses and Teach wins as Teach has a 100 point advantage.

5 Seed – Teach needs to win to stay here, win and a Pistol loss puts Teach at 4. Teach loses and a PeePaw win he falls to 6 if Batman loses too, or falls out if PeePaw wins and Batman wins.

6 Seed – Batman wins and stays here. If Batman wins and Teach loses Batman goes up to 5. If Batman loses and PeePaw wins then he falls out.

7 Seed – PeePaw needs to win and hope Teach or Batman lose. That is his only shot at the 5/6 seed. If PeePaw loses and Trashman wins he drops one spot. PeePaw if left out of the playoffs will have the 13th pick after he goes on a run in the consolation bracket. PeePaw will not lose in the consolation bracket.

8 Seed – Trashman technically can still get in with a win, PeePaw loss and 260 points on Teach. That is not happening. Trashman is guaranteed a first round consolation bye as long as D.W. doesn’t outscore him by 40.

9 Seed – Daddy Wombat can only move up a spot if Trashman loses and D.W. scores 40 more than Trashman. D.W. goes down a spot if B.B. wins and Trashman loses.

10 Seed – Bottom Bunk is out of the playoff pick. B.B. is locked into this spot 1) because B.B. is not winning, 2) because he is not going to outscore D.W. by 250 points if he matches. B.B. loss does nothing to his seeding.

11 Seed – Bruce has this locked in, won’t go anywhere.

12 Seed – Mush’s Mongrels has this locked in and is not going anywhere.

That’s all she wrote right now on the regular season previews. We will follow up with the recap and where everyone ends up. Should be a good week. I personally think nothing changes. The only realistic change is the 2/3 seed. We will see how things shake up after the week. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Recap. What a weekend. We put one game as the GOTW and teased a second one. Both hit. Shoutout to the Commissioner for this schedule. I receive a lot of negative comments about how bad the league is run/structured and just general mean things about our commissioner, but this week, tip of the cap. Let’s get into our GOTW, games, Professor Pickum and a closer look at the playoff shake up.

Game of the week.

v.

Batman v. PeePaw

This one delivered. Batman had a 10 point lead heading into Monday night. Batman didn’t see much out of Carr but he went further than Herbert and PeePaw. Batman’s Swift only got 3 compared to his Lions replacement in Monty who put up 12 for PeePaw. Achane went off in his return for 24 and Charbs had a great week with 16, giving the edge to Batman again. Kyren added another 19 for Batman. In the NFC East matchup, Batman had 20 with DeVonta Smith and PeePaw had 27 from Lamb. Batman also saw 14 from Olave and 11 from Diontae Johnson. Batman did not celebrate early like one of his wide receivers as he knew it would be a fight till the end. Hollywood did not show up for Batman this week, providing 0 points in a whole football game. PeePaw had help from Aiyuk with 13 and 10 from Rice. It would all come down to Ridley and Monday night. As this is being typed, Kirk just went down with an injury, Ridley then received two touches. We will circle back to see if Ridley can get it done for PeePaw. Ahhhh, not great for Ridley, a 41 yard bomb was called back on him which would have won PeePaw the week. Batma wins 118.1 to 114.26.

v.

Teach v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

Teach looking for the sweep and JD3 is trying to lock up the top seed. Monday night would settle this one as well. Teach entered Monday night with a 1 point advantage. Teach saw 66 from Tua/Tyreek/Waddle. That is a solid chunk. Teach then saw B-Rob and Rhomandre leave the game early with injuries that will likely be more than just the one game. Tony Pollard had 16. That is all that really stood out for Teach with Kirk and Mixon to go. Kirk, as mentioned above went down with an injury and is uncertain to return. JD3 had 0 from McLaurin in a whole football game. Mahomes stunk. Sing sunk. But, Nico put up 30, Pittman had 22 and D-Hop had 16. JD3 had Chase and Etienne to go for Monday night. The odds were slightly in JD3’s favor for Monday night, without Kirk, the odds should be leaning more JD3. Etienne already put one in the endzone. It is going to still be a close one. We will check back in after the game. Well Mixon put up two tuds and Chase and Etienne did as well. Mixon pout up 27 from Teach and the Etienne Chase combo had 42. JD3 got the win 144.05 to 133. JD3 is in the drivers seat for the 1 seed.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. CrossFit

Ummm, not sure what the league low is, but it is Mush. CrossFit used up a lot of points for this matchup, knowing that a couple wins, a JD3 loss and 10 points would have CrossFit as the 1 seed. CrossFit would get the points, TBD on the JD3 loss. Dak had 10, Deebo had his first good game with 36, CMC 21, St. Brown 12 and Mostert had 12 as well. CrossFit wins 150.95 to 27.3.

v.

Bruce v. Trashman

Bruce is a coward, Bruce started JT who was ruled out well in advance, what Bruce is doing is criminal, he is not a man of integrity. Trashman barely doubled him up. Trashman saw 25 from LaPorta, 24 from Christian Watson and 20 from Pacheco. Trashman wins 125.4 to 49.7.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Daddy Wombat

Touchdown Guy, like CrossFit is in the same boat. Needs about 70 points, a JD3 loss and two wins. Well he cut the points down big time, a JD3 loss is TBD. TDG saw 34 from Stafford, 26 from Mike Evans, 25 from D-Train, 23 from James Conner, 22 from Puca, 14 from Taysum Hill and 13 from Cooper Kupp. Lead dog. If TDG was lead dog, that’s not a good sign for D.W. D.W. saw 34 from Metcalf on Thursday, 32 from Hurts, 26 from Kamara and 20 from the Piece JSN combo. It would not be enough. TDG wins 176.55 to 126.7. TDG stays in the mix for the 1 seed or at least a bye, guaranteed the 3 seed. D.W. is officially eliminated from the playoffs.

v.

Pistol v. Bottom Bunk

Pistol needed a win to lock up a playoff spot. The person I want to play if I need a win is B.B. Pistol didn’t do much, but it was enough. Pistol saw 15 from A.J. Brown and another 15 from Sutton. Jerome Ford had 13 and Stroud had a down week for Pistol with 22. B.B. had a couple people hit double digits. Baker, Pickens, Jameson Williams and Fergie. It doesn’t matter how many points they had because it was not enough. Pistol wins 100.3 to 81.3.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

Good morning class, we have out 10th answer sheet for Professor Pickum.

The week after Thanksgiving. We’re fat (editor’s not, speak for yourself). We’re winning (editor’s note, speak for yourself). One of these probably needs to change but I hope it’s not the winning.

Seattle @ Dallas -8.5

  • Nope.

San Francisco -2.5 @ Philadelphia

  • BANG!

Detroit -4.5 @ New Orleans

  • BANG!

Professor Pickum was 2-1 on the week and is 21-11.

I wanted to take a look at the Playoff picture but it will give away too much for tomorrow. That does it for this week. We will have a juicy preview tomorrow. There is a lot on the line, really only 1 spot up for grabs still. Hopefully you have had better luck with the playoffs than one team we are going to talk about tomorrow. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 13 Preview. We are right in the thick of things with Playoffs right around the corner. We have a crucial GOTW, matchups, Professor Pickum and an all-new power rankings. Let’s just dive on in.

Game of the week.

v.

Batman v. PeePaw

Both teams fresh off a loss and a playoff spot is on the line. This matchup is hot hot hot. Well, it could have been. They bye week bug is in full effect and Batman has been bit. In a must win game, Batman has to go with Derek Carr as his QB instead of Lamar who is on bye. This late bye will likely result in Batman having a bye in the consolation bracket. Batman also has multiple players with the questionable tag, A.J. Dillon, Swift, Hollywood and DeVonta Smith. Batman also has Olave and Achane on his bench, both have a questionable tag as well. BUT, Batman does have Kyren Williams who hopefully saved some points for this week because he will be needed. PeePaw is missing guys too, but he’s old school so he won’t make any excuses. Herb, Monty, Charbonnet, Warren, Lamb, Aiyuk and Ridley make up his team. PeePaw wins and is in, it’s really that simple, the points are heavily in his favor for the tie breaker. PeePaw is a 14 point favorite, that may shrink to about 8 or so if Batman does some roster reconstruction. I think PeePaw gets it done, there’s just no way he goes on a losing streak similar to what he did to start the year.

v.

Teach v. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons

This game is the big one, not GOTW worthy because JD3 is already in the offs and already has a bye. But JD3 can try to hold Teach out and get a little closer to the #1 seed. Teach can win and get in (not technically, but the points tie breaker are in his favor if the wheels fall off). Teach has Tua/Hill/Waddle. Teach has Mixon, B-Rob, Pollard, Stevenson, and Kirk. That’s a pretty solid team. Teach also won this matchup and is one of JD3’s two losses on the year. JD3 loves some revenge. Mahomes, Sing, Etienne, Allen, McLaurin, D-Hop, Chase, Collins and Pittman. This team has won over and over again, one more should be the icing on the top. JD3 wants this one bad. JD3 is a 2 point favorite, this will be a must watch matchup.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. CrossFit

Mush has had a lot of bye week concerns all year. His one highlight is that his former 1st round pick in Clyde Edwards-Helaire is back in his lineup. CrossFit needs this win and a JD3 loss to really put the pressure on for the #1 seed. CrossFit’s highlights are Dak, CMC, St. Brown and Kelce. CrossFit is a 100 point favorite, I think he wins by only 95.

v.

Bruce v. Trashman

Bruce is a coward, Trashman is still in the mix (barely). Trashman has to win out, plus points of at least 100. I don’t think both happen this week, but a win is on the horizon for Trashman to keep his dreams out of the dumps. Trashman gets to put Zack Moss back in the lineup this week and ride him to victory.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Daddy Wombat

This is actually going to be a good matchup if D.W. sets his lineup. TDG is without the tall Josh Allen, Stafford is in. D-Train, Conner, Thielen, Evans, Godwin, Kupp, Nacua and Kittle. That triple Rams stack could help or hurt TDG as they take on a bad Browns offense but good Browns defense. Should be a lot of opportunities, but will they need to press the ball down the field once they grab a lead? D.W. needs to put Kamara and Downs into the lineup. Hurts, Metcalf and Tank Dell make up the remaining stars on his team. This should be a 5 point projection favoring TDG, I think TDG gets it done and some of the guys on D.W. fall way short of expectations. TDG just needs to get right for the offs.

v.

Pistol v. Bottom Bunk

B.B. is still alive, but not after this week. Pistol has Stroud, Gibbs, Javonte, Sutton, G-Will and A.J. Brown. B.B. has Bijan and Breece. This will be a one sided affair where Pistol wins by 20-30 points. Pistol will lock in a playoff spot after this week.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 10th study guide for Professor Pickum.

The week after Thanksgiving. We’re fat (editor’s not, speak for yourself). We’re winning (editor’s note, speak for yourself). One of these probably needs to change but I hope it’s not the winning.

Seattle @ Dallas -8.5

Hypothesis

  • Primetime Unders are hitting at an alarming rate.
  • Dallas Def is very good
  • Geno is starting to show why he was written off
  • This one scares me cuz I could see Dallas scoring 40 and it’s not a short week… I just talked myself into taking Dallas -8.5?
  • Lock it in

San Francisco -2.5 @ Philadelphia

Hypothesis:

  • This is purely a “why is Philly getting 2.5 at home? Somebondy must know something” play
  • I’m either gonna look like a genius or an idiot band that’s my sweet spot

Detroit -4.5 @ New Orleans

Hypothesis:

  • I like the Lions to not only bounce back but get out some frustrations and run up the score

Professor Pickum is 19-10 overall.

Now for an all-new power rankings.

PeePaw is in a tight one this week and just has to move down because he’s not locked into Playoffs. That’s it, nothing against PeePaw, I’m sure a lot of teams want PeePaw to lose and miss out on the playoffs, but this is based on record, fresh off a loss, don’t shoot the messenger.

That does it for this week. Hopefully you are locking in playoff spots. Until next time I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Let’s Go!

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 12 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 12 Recap. No more turkey, but we are stuffed from last weeks matchups. Teams are looking for their piece of that playoff pie, what a reach that was. Anyways, we are back baby, GOTW, Matchups, and Professor Pickum, let’s get it.

Game of the week.

v.

PeePaw v. Touchdown Guy

This one had all the fixings of a good matchup. It was all over after the first drive of the Sunday night game. PeePaw only saw 20 points out of Herbie. Not great when TDG saw 50 from Josh Allen, who is tall. Monty at least got PeePaw 15, but TDG’s D-Train decided to have himself a game with 20. PeePaw’s spot start Zach Charbonnet had a solid 8 points, but TDG had 21 from Josh Jacobs. PeePaw rolled the dice and saw 19 from Calvin Ridley, but Mike Evans put up 22 for TDG. The only real defining matchup PeePaw won was CeeDee and Adams combined for 25 and TDG’s next two combined for 11. It was the overpowering performances at the top for TDG that pushed him passed PeePaw this week. TDG wins 135.85 to 110.45.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Mush’s Mongrels

D.W. needed this win and he did. Jalen Hurts led the was with 44, followed by 20 in Gabe the Babe, 15 from Tank Dell and 10 from Roschon Johnson. Mush had a couple big plays in Perine with 13 and Dortch with 10, but the bye bug got him. D.W. wins this thriller 115 to 46.94.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Teach

Bottom Bunk stinks. Drake London is his only highlight scoring 12 points. That is bad. Teach is not much better. The Tua/Hill/Waddle stack is inconsistent. Tua was the bad one this week with 14, but somehow managed to help Hill and Waddle combine for 36. Pollard had a big week and so did Stevenson, both had 19. Hock had a late score to get into double digits with 14 and Kirk had 11. Teach wins this one 133.15 to 81.03.

v.

Pistol v. Trashman

Pistol has a sneaky team but snuck his way into a loss this week. Yikes, in a must win. Stroud had 41, G-Wil put up 14 with Boyle, Jaylen Reed had 13, A.J. Brown had 12 and Jerome Ford had 10. But Trashman just had a little more garbage juice this week. T-Law had 33, Pacheco had 23, Watson had 18, Curty Sam had 15, and LaPorta had 15. The bad was good this week for Trashman, Trashman gets this one over Pistol 134.3 to 126.1.

v.

Batman v. CrossFit

This has to be one of the weirdest years when we have had countless times that the #2 scoring team of the week faces the Lead Dog. This week was no different. Batman saw 35 points from Kyren Williams, 20 from DeVonta Smith, 15 from Olave, 13 from James Cook and even A.J. Dillon put up 10. CrossFit had himself a day on Thursday putting up over 100 points. Dak had 46, CMC had 28, St. Brown had 14, Deebo had 19 and the one let down was Lockett with 5. Mostert joined in with 28 on Friday and Kelce put up 12 on Sunday. Batman put up a solid 148.05 points but CrossFit was lead dog and the winner with 160.25.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Bruce

JD3 wins 137.9 to 116.05 as Bruce continues to tank.

Now let’s get into the picks.

Good morning class, we have out 9th answer sheet for Professor Pickum.

We are fading the dogs. They will be too stuffed from thanksgiving to be hungry.

Green Bay @ Detroit -7.5

Nope.

Washington @ Dallas -13.5

BANG!

Miami -9 @ New York Jets

BANG!

Professor Pickum was 2-1 this week and is 19-10 overall.

Why not, let’s take a quick look at the playoff picture.

Mush and Bruce are currently eliminated from the playoffs. CrossFit and Touchdown Guy have clinched at least a Wild Card spot as those two teams are in a fight for the bye in their division. JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons has clinched a playoff spot and first round bye. Wow, that is incredible, tough to imagine that team losing this year. There are 3 spots up for grabs and 7 teams fighting for those spots. If the season ended today, it would be Teach and Pistol who currently have to just win 1 game and keep roughly a 100 point lead over Batman. PeePaw technically does not need to win a game, he just has to match Batman and keep a 300 point lead or not let Daddy wombat, Trashman or Bottom Bunk win 2 if he loses 2. PeePaw has a 100 point lead over Trashman as well and A LOT bigger lead over those other bums. I’m thinking that after this weekend, while not officially clinching, the playoff picture will be set. Tune in tomorrow to find out who it likely will be. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 12 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 12 Preview. It’s turkey time, so we are not fooling around (yeah, I left that in again). We have a repeat game of the week, matchups, Professor Pickum, and an all new power rankings. Let’s dig in (get it like eating because it’s turkey time).

Game of the week.

v.

PeePaw v. Touchdown Guy

PeePaw is on a hot streak, a game of the week should cool him off. Touchdown Guy always loses the GOTW. This could be our first tie. PeePaw has Herb riding the Gus Bus, to get some Charbonnet to go with his Lamb, from Adams (not sponsored) meats off of Montgomery. Not sure if any of that made sense but we are running no fumes people. PeePaw also has Aiyuk, Warren and Ridle. TDG has Allen, D-Train, Conner, Jacobs, Thielen, Evans Godwin, Nacua and Kittle. This matchup has a lot of big names and should be a big finish. I think I have to side with PeePaw as the injury bug helps him this week and hurts TDG. PeePaw is currently a 1 point dog.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Mush’s Mongrels

D.W. needs a win to keep the longshot playoff hopes alive. A win D.W. will get, Hurts, Kamara and Metcalf are enough to beat Mush while his team somehow is suffering from byes this week (there are no byes this week). D.W. wins by 40 but fails to hit 100.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Teach

Bottom Bunk somehow got worse with Bijan. Teach has Tua/Hill/Waddle. Teach wins as the 60 point favorite.

v.

Pistol v. Trashman

Pistol has a sneaky team. All it takes is having a QB, Stroud, Gibbs, Sutton and A.J. Brown all are enough to keep Pistol in the mix. Trashman has Chubb and Jones out. Trashman is toast. Trashman failed to trade Mark Andrews, Mark Andrews is also out. Trashman had 3 major players that could have helped start the rebuild, now he’s in the dumps. Pistol wins as the 40 point favorite.

v.

Batman v. CrossFit

Batman is the odd one out. Facing a tough opponent when you need a win to get into the playoffs is tough. Good news is that Batman should have no issues with securing the 13th pick,. Lamar, Swift, DeVonta, and Olave. CrossFit has Dak, CMC, Barkley, Mostert, Ekeler, St. Brown, and Kelce. You have to like CrossFit in this one, he gets it done as the 40 point favorite.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Bruce

JD3 forced Bruce into the tank job by taking his will earlier in the year. JD3 is a demon. Bruce is a coward. JD3 by a million (currently an 80 point favorite.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 9th study guide for Professor Pickum.

We are fading the dogs. They will be too stuffed from thanksgiving to be hungry.

Green Bay @ Detroit -7.5

Washington @ Dallas -13.5

Miami -9 @ New York Jets

Professor Pickum is 17-9 overall.

Now for an all-new power rankings.

PeePaw moves up, not all the way up to #1, but allows the former #1 to reclaim the top spot. The bottom is still the bottom as those teams are so bad.

What a week and it’s only about to begin. Good luck as you make that final playoff push.. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Recap. It’s turkey time, so we are not fooling around. Quick Recap to be followed by a quick preview.

Game of the week.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Pistol

Monday night would decide this one. JD3 would need Mahomes to outscore A.J. Brown. JD3 is singing the praises of Devin Singletary and 19 points. What a run by the vet. Keenan had 23, D-Hop with 14 and Nico with 10. What is wrong with Stefon Diggs? Pistol saw 19 from Gibbs, 18 from Jayden Reed, 15 from Sutton and 11 from Ford. Mahomes would outduel A.J. Brown 25 to 1 and JD3 gets a big win 123.75 to 104.5.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Touchdown Guy

Mush covered, TDG saw 33 from Allen, 19 from Kittle, 16 from Nacua, 13 from Evans and 11 from Thielen. Cooper Kupp was injured and may give TDG some concern for the playoff push. TDG wins 118.85 to 68.27.

v.

Bruce v. Teach

Bruce is a coward. The Tua/Hill/Waddle combo outscored Bruce. Teach wins 140.65 to 53.5.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Batman

D.W. saw 25 from Tank Dell and 0 from Gabe Davis. Metcalf had a week with 18 and Rondale Moore had 12. Batman saw 18 from James Cook and 11 from D-Hendy. Swift was putting up points early and Lamar had 33. Batman wins 113.6 to 96.8.

v.

PeePaw v. CrossFit

Imagine you’re an old man. You wake up early, have a cup of coffee and before you know it, you’re blowing out everyone. Day is over before most people’s begins. That was PeePaw. Ridley with 28, Aiyuk with 24, Warren with 22, Adams with 18, Gus with 20 Monty with 17, Lamb with 14, Schultz with 10 and Herb with 34. Rice was the only one that wasn’t cooking. CrossFit had a good week. Halftime of Monday night and he’s 3rd in points on the week. Barkley led the way with 28, CMC had 19, St. Brown with 18, Mostert 10 and Dak had 25. Ekeler didn’t show up and CrossFit needed everyone and more. PeePaw stays hot, repeat lead dog, winner 192.5 to 137.45.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Trashman

B.B. saw 16 from Breece and 11 from JameO Williams. Trashman had 41 from T-Law. Neither team hit 100 so they both lose. Trashman wins 90.2 to 65.3.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have out 8th test results back for Professor Pickum.

The Packers screwed the pooch for the Professor last week, those clowns can’t even lose the right way. Anyways, onwards and upwards we go.

Cincinnati @ Baltimore -3.5

BANG!

Tampa Bay +11.5 @ San Francisco

Nope.

Tennessee @ Jacksonville -6.5

BANG!

Professor Pickum is 2-1 on the week and 17-9 overall. Imagine if he didn’t pick that bad Monday night extra credit pick.

Well that does it for this week. This week we got Turkey, so it will be another quick one. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Preview

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 11 Preview. We have some great matchups this week. I think this is a lot more exciting week than last week. Only 1 team has a sure win locked up. We have our GOTW, matchups, Professor Pickum and the Power Rankings.

Game of the week.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Pistol

JD3 is the PCDL’s fantasy app #1, Pistol is fresh off a GOTW win. These two rivals hate each other. We have a good matchup. The vet in Mahomes for JD3 versus the new hotness in Stroud for Pistol. The young RBs go at it with JD3 rolling out Etienne and Pistol lining up Kenny Walks. JD3 has Sing in the lineup right now but could shift to Hunt to have the Hunt Jerome Ford matchup against Pistol. Pistol goes a little deeper at RB, with Gibbs and Javonte Williams. Little rude to just slip them in here, but still old slow computer, the words do not show up until a few seconds after I’m done typing. Pistol rounds out the receiving core with Sutton, Wilson, Reed and A.J. Brown. JD3 goes deep at WR. Chase, Allen, McLaurin, D-Hop, Diggs and possibly Nico. Pistol has the clear TE advantage with Kincaid and could swing points that way if Kincaid finds the endzone over Diggs. JD3 will be about a 6 point favorite come kickoff. This will be quite the game, hope it ends in a shootout.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. Touchdown Guy

Mush has more byes, so it is tough to say this is a fair matchup this week. Mush has Deebo. TDG has Josh Allen (who lost me my pickum and I won’t forgive him), D-Train, James Conner, Thielen, Evans, Godwin, Kittle, Kupp and Nacua. I mean that is a lineup. TDG is an 86 point favorite. I thin this one ends up being closer than that. TDG wins by 75.

v.

Bruce v. Teach

Bruce is a coward. Teach stinks. Teach wins because Dobbs is going to feed Hockenson.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. Batman

D.W. is without Kamara this week. D.W. needs Metcalf to bounce back. Tank Dell is doing well. That’s about it. Batman has Hollywood and the Philly duo of Swift and Smith. That’s about it. Batman is a 20 point favorite, I think Batman handles his business and stays in the playoff hunt.

v.

PeePaw v. CrossFit

This is a great matchup. PeePaw is on the rise and CrossFit is the current (spoiler) #1 in the PCDL rankings. PeePaw has Herb and CrossFit has Dak, it’s a wash at QB. CrossFit has the RB names, CMC, Barkley, Ekeler. and Mostert. PeePaw has Monty, Warren, and Ty Chandler. Advantage CrossFit. PeePaw has the WRs, Lamb, Adams, Aiyuk and possibly JJ. CrossFit has St. Brown, Cooper and Lockett. CrossFit has the TE advantage in Kelce over PeePaw with Schultz. CrossFit will be a 13-17 point favorite by the time kickoff starts. I think this one is too close to call because I think PeePaw’s WRs close the gap while CrossFit’s RBs shrink the gap. I am going to give the edge to CrossFit solely based on the fact that Ekeler will have a huge game against Green Bay which will “hurt” Herbie.

v.

Bottom Bunk v. Trashman

B.B. is in an absolute pickle if Mattison is out. Bijan is on bye. That leaves his RB situation with Chase Edmonds and Isaiah Spiller who are projected 4.5 total points. B.B. needs to fill a flex spot. His options are Conklin, Hardman, Dyami Brown, Jalen Tolbert and Xavier Hutchinson. Conklin has the highest point projection of 5.5 points. B.B.’s only highlight is Breece Hall. Trashman should be alright. Aaron Jones, Pacheco, Addison, LaPorta, Andrews, and Curty Sam. I’m not sure if Trashman hits 100 points this week, but he’s still going to be a 35 point favorite. Trashman wins this one and B.B.’s playoff hopes slowly dwindle away.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have the 8th study guide of Professor Pickum.

The Packers screwed the pooch for the Professor last week, those clowns can’t even lose the right way. Anyways, onwards and upwards we go.

Cincinnati @ Baltimore -3.5

Hypothesis:

  • Though Cincinnati’s offense has improved alongside Joe Burrow’s health, they still have struggled to move the ball consistently against good defenses
  • Baltimore defense isn’t good – it’s GREAT
  • Barring a Lamar diarrhea game, I like the Ravens to win big

Tampa Bay +11.5 @ San Francisco

Hypothesis:

  • That’s a lot of points for a team in San Fran who is 1-4 ATS in the last 5
  • Tampa has covered 3 in a row and is 3-2 ATS in the last 6

Tennessee @ Jacksonville -6.5

Hypothesis:

  • I like this as a good bounce back spot for the Jags after last week’s letdown
  • Jags are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 while the Titans are 2-4 in the same stretch
  • Titans are not road dogs. . . failing to cover yet this season in these spots

Professor Pickum was 2-1 last week and is 15-8 overall.

Now for the all new Power Rankings.

Nothing really going on here. PeePaw moves up a spot because he was lead dog (convincingly), Pistol just happened to be the one directly above PeePaw. Teach moves up a spot because some made up app says he’s a “contender” and D.W. moves down a spot just because I don’t know if they read this.

Well that does it for this week. Next week we got Turkey, so it will be another quick one. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.

Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 10 Recap

Good morning everyone, welcome to the Pot Cakes Dynasty League Week 10 Recap. We are on an old slow computer this week. Things will be quick, probably spelling errors but a recap nonetheless. We have our GOTW, matchups, and Professor Pickum.

Game of the Week.

v.

Teach v. Pistol

Hate to say it, but this was called. B. Rob had 25 for Teach, so did Hock. Christian Kirk put up a baker’s dozen. Then Stevenson, Mixon combined for two dozen. Doubs had 11. Teach would need to see Khalil Shakir outscore Javonte Williams and Courtland Sutton and Dalton Kincaid on Monday night. That did not happen. Pistol saw 27 from Stroud, 25 from Gibbs, 17 from Jayden Reed, 14 from Garrett Wilson and 11 from Jerome Ford. Due to the computer situation, Pistol saw a good amount of pints from his Monday night crew. Pistol won 163.3 to 120.01.

v.

Mush’s Mongrels v. PeePaw

Mush had some bye week issues. It was not his best week. Tommy DeVito had 20. PeePaw had his best performance when he did not need it. Herbert with 42, Lamb with 34, Warren with 18, Monty with 28, Foreman had 16, Aiyuk had 13, Adams had 12, Douglas had 11, and Ty Chandler had 11 of the taxi. PeePaw won this one 4 times over, 176.25 to 41.18. PeePaw is howling at the moon as lead dog.

v.

Bruce v. Bottom Bunk

Bruce is a coward. B.B. is heating up. Aghhhhh, Bijan had 18 and Fergie had 11. That is about it. B.B. wins 82.81 to 37.45.

v.

Daddy Wombat v. CrossFit

D.W. needed a miracle Monday night. D.W. saw 18 from Tank Dell, 15 from Kamara and 13 from Tank Dell. CrossFit saw a huge 53 from Dak. CMC put up 17 without a TD. St. Brown had 27, Ekeler had 20, Lockett and 19 and Cooper had 13. D.W. did not see enough from Russ, Gabe and Jeudy. CrossFit wins 162.6 to 109.17.

v.

Touchdown Guy v. Batman

TDG had the tall Josh Allen to go on Monday. He would not need him. Mike Evans had 23, Noah Brown had 21 and Kittle had 19. We can’t leave out Jacobs who added a dozen. Batman had a couple big performers. Olave had 18 and 17 from McBride. OBJ even had 11. TDG gets the win 122.15 to 89.05.

v.

JonnyDIII’s Joyful Demons v. Trashman

JD3 is singing to victory, led by Devin Singletary’s 23 points. Keenan Allen added 35 and Chase had 21. Pittman added a casual 12. Trashman saw 14 from Tyler Irwin. That is not great. Tough week for Trashman. JD3 wins 144.1 to 87.82.

That does it for the matchups, now we get into the picks.

***Please check your local, county, state, country, gaming, and other laws to see if gambling is allowed and available near you.

Good morning class, we have the seventh set of answers for Professor Pickum.

Carolina +3.5 @ Chicago

BANG!

Indianapolis @ New England Under 43.5

BANG!

Green Bay @ Pittsburgh Under 39.5

Nope.

Professor Pickum was 2-1 this week and is 15-8 overall.

That does it for this week. Short right ups, not a lot going on. No one really kept it close this week. Only 5 teams deserved to win this week, the rest are all bums. Tomorrow, we will follow up with the GOTW, matchups, Professor Pickum and Power Rankings. Until then I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
